Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to a battery cells and methods for measuring internal pressure in a battery cell. According to one embodiment, a battery cell includes an interior space, in which a battery electrolyte resides, and a housing that gas-tightly encloses the interior space. The battery cell further includes a gas-tight sealed measurement chamber, which is separated from the interior space by a deformable membrane, in which a pressure sensor is arranged.
