  • Publication number: 20240068578
Abstract: A multi-port valve assembly, including a housing, a plurality of ports formed as part of the housing, and a rotor disposed in the housing, the rotor selectively in fluid communication with the ports. A first channel is integrally formed as part of the rotor, and a circumferential wall is part of the first channel, the circumferential wall at least partially surrounding a circular aperture which is also part of the first channel. The multi-port valve assembly also includes a second channel integrally formed as part of the rotor, the second channel fluidically isolated from the first channel, and at least two flow paths formed by the orientation of the rotor relative to the housing and the ports. The rotor is placed in one of a plurality of configurations relative to the ports and the housing such that each of the plurality of configurations includes the flow paths.

  • Patent number: 11879422
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for generating energy from a container configured to be fully submerged in a liquid and containing differing volumes of gas in order to alternatively ascend and descend through the liquid in order to rotate a drum spool connected to the container by a cable hose that unwinds from the drum spool as the container ascends, and winds as the cable descends. The rotational energy of the drum spool may thus be harvested.

  • Publication number: 20230362630
Abstract: A data communication system that sends SMS communications that are end-to-end ciphered when communicated from first device to second device. The data payloads of SMS communications are hard-encrypted by layers at first device. Each layer is combination of encryption function and obfuscation function. A data map is associated with layers and is provided in SMS message from first device to second device. The data map provides information about combination in each layer to enable inverse layer-by-layer decryption and de-obfuscation of hard-encrypted data payloads at second device. The second device has key wallet in which encryption function are defined according to first index, and obfuscation function are defined according to second index. The data map includes references to first and second index such that second device requires use of key wallet to interpret indices to enable inverse layer-by-layer decryption and de-obfuscation of hard-encrypted data payloads communicated to second device.

  • Publication number: 20210176368
Abstract: Cloud-based document management systems are disclosed that provide a direct link between a scanner and cloud storage. In embodiments, a document management system provides a web scanning application that is executable in a web browser. The application can initiate a scan from a scanner in communication with the web browser that is transmitted directly to a remote cloud storage location and indexed by the document management system without requiring storing a copy of the document local to the web browser. Other embodiments allow printing from the web browser directly to the document management system and remote cloud storage. In another aspect, a receipt printer buffer is provided that can provide electronic receipts that may be directly uploaded to the cloud--based document management system.

  • Publication number: 20210168572
Abstract: A data communication system, when in operation, sends conventional short messaging service (“SMS”) communications to one or more devices via a primary communication arrangement. The data communication system optionally supports, in operation, data communication therethrough using Internet Protocol TCP/IP. A given device and/or the data communication system includes at least one signaling layer of a secondary communication arrangement through which is communicated a confirmation of a given signaling event delivering an SMS to the given device via use of the primary communication arrangement has been successfully executed, wherein the confirmation is used to make an execution of the given signaling event auditable and traceable, wherein the second communication arrangement is implemented using at least one of: TCP/IP protocol, an OEM communication protocol.

  • Publication number: 20200126525
Abstract: A step sequencer with a four by sixteen grid of buttons is disclosed. The sequencer is used to generate patterns of sounds on different channels. The sequencer can be used as a hardware controller to control music production software. The grid of the sequencer emulates the virtual grid generated in a graphical user interface by the music production software. The grid of the hardware controller is used to control the corresponding grid on the graphical user interface.

  • Patent number: 8063087
Abstract: Compounds of Formula 1 where X is S and the variables have the meaning defined in the specification are specific or selective to alpha2B and/or alpha2C adrenergic receptors in preference over alpha2A adrenergic receptors, and as such have no or only minimal cardiovascular and/or sedatory activity. These compounds of Formula 1 are useful as medicaments in mammals, including humans, for treatment of diseases and or alleviations of conditions which are responsive to treatment by agonists of alpha2B adrenergic receptors. Compounds of Formula 1 where X is O also have the advantageous property that they have no or only minimal cardiovascular and/or sedatory activity and are useful for treating pain and other conditions with no or only minimal cardiovascular and/or sedatory activity.
