  • Publication number: 20230249694
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein to improve operation of a vehicle and a vehicle comprising said systems, for example, by receiving one or more driver control signals from an electronic control unit (ECU) of the vehicle, calculating one or more time variability factors for each of the vehicle control signals, determining one or more driver categories based on the calculated time variability factors, and outputting a vehicle control signal based on the determined driver category.

  • Publication number: 20220351589
Abstract: A computing system receives data indicating signal strength of signals transmitted between a plurality of beacons and a mobile device. The system determines a location of the mobile device within a vehicle coordinate system, wherein the beacons have known locations within the coordinate system, the determination being based in part on the signal strength.

  • Publication number: 20220250590
Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods related to washing a vehicle in a car wash. In an example method, a car wash controller in a car wash detects a vehicle inside a bay of the car wash and selects a piece of equipment for washing a certain portion of the vehicle. Selecting the equipment may be based on an amount of dirt present on the portion of the vehicle, which can be, for example, a front portion, a rear portion, a side portion, a roof, or an underbody of the vehicle. The car wash controller may query a driver of the vehicle to determine a detergent preference. A car wash system computer in the vehicle may specify an amount of water to be used for washing the vehicle. The car wash controller washes the portion of the car using the detergent and the specified amount of water.

  • Patent number: 11210950
Abstract: A controller for a vehicle is configured to determine a driving behaviour of a first vehicle and a second vehicle. The controller is configured to receive data relating to at least one of a flow of traffic at the given location and a geography at the given location. If the controller determines that the driving behaviour of the first vehicle and the driving behaviour of the second vehicle are similar and the controller determines that at least one of the flow of traffic at the given location departs from a normal traffic flow and the geography at the given location increases the risk of accident, then the controller is configured to issue an alert.

  • Publication number: 20210155060
Abstract: A method of inflating a tire of a vehicle includes connecting the vehicle to an external air pump, using a connection, to provide communication of information between the vehicle and the external air pump. The method also includes transmitting information from the vehicle to the external air pump over the connection and controlling the external air pump based upon the communicated information to provide air to a vehicle tire, connected to the air pump, until the communicated information indicates that the tire has reached a desired pressure level, at which point the air pump ceases provision of air to the vehicle tire.
