  • Publication number: 20150140200
Abstract: A method for making a Li-ion battery including the preparation of a positive electrode from an ink comprising at least one active electrode material, and at least one binder; the preparation of an electrode separator from an ink comprising at least one fluorinated copolymer; the preparation of a negative electrode from an ink comprising at least one active electrode material, and at least one binder. The fluorinated copolymer comprises: from 99.99 to 90 mol % of at least one fluorinated monomer; from 0.01 to 10 mol % of at least one acrylic acid derivative of formulae CR1R2?CR3—C(?O)—O—R4 wherein each of R1, R2, R3, equal or different from each other, is independently a hydrogen atom or a C1-C3 hydrocarbon group, and R4 is a hydrogen or a C1-C5 hydrocarbon moiety comprising at least one hydroxyl group.

  • Publication number: 20100215962
Abstract: Process for dispersing solid particles in a particulate polymer, which comprises the steps of: (a) forming a solution (OS) of particles of a polymer (P1) in an organic solvent (S); (b) forming an aqueous dispersion (AD) of solid particles (P2); (c) mixing said solution (OS) with said dispersion (AD) as to obtain a liquid mixture (M), while avoiding substantial precipitation of either polymer (P1) or particles (P2); (d) mixing said liquid mixture (M) with a non solvent (NS) as to obtain a slurry (SL) comprising particles (P3); a phase transfer agent (PTA) being further present during steps (b), (c) and/or (d).

  • Publication number: 20090264594
Abstract: The invention relates to an aromatic sulfone polymer composition comprising at least one aromatic sulfone polymer [polymer (P)]; from 0.02 to less than 10 wt %, based on the total weight of the composition, of a tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) polymer [polymer (F)] under the form of nanoparticles, wherein said nanoparticles have an average primary particle size of less than 100 nm. The compositions of the invention advantageously display an unexpected combination of excellent mechanical properties, excellent chemical resistance, excellent optical properties (transparency and/or colorability) and low flammability. Still an object of the invention is a process for manufacturing aromatic sulfone polymer compositions. According to a preferred embodiment, said process comprises a co-coagulating step of an aromatic sulfone polymer solution with TFE nanoparticles. Still objects of the invention are the articles comprising the composition as above specified.
