  • Patent number: 8778631
Abstract: This invention provides for a novel means of incorporating non-native amino acids into preselected positions of a protein using a cell-free synthesis system. The methods involve the use of non-orthogonal, native isoaccepting sense tRNAs that are encoded by the genetic code. Such methods allow for numerous non-native amino acids to be incorporated through the use of sense codons without having to rely upon orthogonal tRNA-synthetase pairs.

  • Patent number: 7533169
Abstract: System and method for object-centric Storage Area Network (SAN) zoning visualization. Embodiments may provide graphical and/or textual displays and reporting of logical and/or physical zone and zone alias information for SAN objects to users or administrators of a SAN. SAN objects may include any logically or physically zonable SAN component. Embodiments may graphically and/or textually present logical and/or physical zoning information for any SAN object via real-time displays and/or reporting in response to selecting the object. All of the zones, and zone aliases, if any, of which a SAN object is a logical and/or physical member may be determined and displayed, along with other relevant information including the mechanisms by which the SAN object is logically zoned. Embodiments may provide mechanisms through which a user may navigate through the displayed zoning information to view zoning information for other SAN objects and/or zone-centric information for the zones and zone aliases.

  • Publication number: 20050238645
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for altering a B cell mediated pathology in a patient. This method comprises administering a composition comprising at least one and/or two chimeric proteins. Each chimeric protein comprises at least a portion of either the VH or VL region of a immunoglobulin molecule from particular B cells from a patient having a B cell mediated pathology, and an immunoglobulin constant region. The genes encoding VH and/or VL regions and the genes encoding immunoglobulin constant regions are isolated and inserted into an expression vector. The chimeric proteins are produced by introducing the expression vectors into insect cell lines. The chimeric proteins are purified using antibody affinity columns, and then chemically conjugated to an immunogenic carrier, keyhole-limpet hemocyanin (KLH).
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20050084495
Abstract: A method of treating B cell malignancies or a method for preparing compositions for treating B cell malignancies wherein administration of a specific binding cytoreductive agent is followed by immunization with an autologous Id protein. The two treatments may be sequential, where the administration of the specific binding cytoreductive agent is completed before the administration of the autologous Id protein, or the administration of the specific binding cytoreductive agent and the immunization with an autologous Id protein may occur in an overlapping time course.

  • Patent number: 6655576
Abstract: Brazed structures comprising hollow components having a closure component bonded thereto by a metallic brazing alloy for closing off an end of the hollow component are disassembled by locating a wire transport material in the hollow component and covering the open face of the hollow component with a wire fiber material. Heat is then applied to liquefy the brazing alloy which is drawn up into the metal wire fiber material by capillary affect created by the wire transport material.

  • Patent number: 5115141
Abstract: Apparatus for detecting register marks includes one or more linear arrays of sensors (19, 20) arranged transverse to the direction of relative movement of a web (3) and the apparatus. Where there is more than one linear array (19, 20), they are arranged so that they are substantially non-parallel to allow both longitudinal and transverse monitoring of register marks on the web (3). A signal is generated on detection of a mark and processing means determine the sensor (19) or group of sensors which detected a mark and whether the marks are in register with those of other webs (3).
