  • Publication number: 20240274911
Abstract: A system and method for recovering heavy metals from nonhazardous scrap lead acid battery slag using pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical process to clean slag for commercial use as an environmentally friendly substitute solid filler in product. Process recovers previously nonhazardous landfilled lead and tin for value economically for the business unit and repurposes the businesses major solid waste stream. Methods iteratively remove tin, lead, antimony, arsenic from slag to be used in commercial materials as well as concentrate lead and tin in a fume to recover lead for recycled production and produce commercial grade tin.

  • Publication number: 20240112793
Abstract: Creating an effective system and/or method for providing right-sized in-home care requires solving a unique logistics problem: how to optimize a fleet of disparate mobile care resources to geographically distributed and disparate patients, each with an individualized healthcare need. The integrated mobile care unit dispatching tool disclosed herein may schedule and proactively re-schedule in-home care using mobile care units. The mobile care unit dispatching tool accounts for an array of disparate mobile care resources (e.g., different specializations, or a lack of any specialization) and disparate patient needs, any or all of which may change over time, to create and maximize the value of patient schedules for treatment.

  • Patent number: 10370007
Abstract: Inspection and monitoring system consists of a measuring unit fixedly installed in the cable railway, a storage and transmission unit operatively connected to the latter for the storage and communication of the measurement data, and an assessment unit connected to the latter via Ethernet or some comparable network in order to assess and visualize the measurement data in a remote monitoring station away from the cable railway from which the inspection process is initiated automatically according to a set program. Assessment of the inspection results in the remote monitoring station also takes place automatically by means of a pre-specified program. The station can be in operation around the clock and can also monitor a number of cable railways a long way away at the same time. It works reliably without staff interaction and enables precise management of the cable in view of its optimal life span.

  • Patent number: 10359294
Abstract: A digital map of a geographic area is displayed in a map sheet in a software application executing on a portable device. Several individually selectable location indicators are displayed over the digital map in the map sheet. In response to a first one of the several location indicators being selected on the map sheet, an informational sheet related to the selected location indicator is generated, where the informational sheet occludes a portion of the map sheet. In response to a gesture applied to the informational sheet, (a) a selection of a second one of the several location indicators is automatically indicated on the map sheet, and (b) the informational sheet is updated to display information related to the newly selected location indicator.

  • Patent number: 9483567
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system may promote points of interest (POIs) for display on a digital map at a client computing device based on context information associated with a user. Location data from a client computing device may indicate a geographic location of the computing device. Using the location data, the system may determine a user classification indicating a degree of familiarity with the location indicated by the location data. Promotion data may be determined based on the location data and the user classification. The promotion data may indicate one or more sets of POIs to be promoted. The system may then send the determined promotion data to the client computing device, enabling display on the client computing device of the one or more indicated sets of POIs.

  • Patent number: 9285234
Abstract: An interactive digital map of a geographic area is provided via a user interface of a computing device. A selection of a point on the digital map is received, where the selected point corresponds to a selected location within the geographic area. In response to receiving the selection of the point and without receiving a request for directions from a user via the user interface, an indication of a length of a trip between a current location of the computing device and the selected location is automatically obtained. The indication of the length of the trip along with the interactive digital map are displayed via the user interface.

  • Patent number: 8044321
Abstract: A processing machine for workpiece processing includes a cutting head that produces a cutting beam directed toward a workpiece, and a beam-catching device for receiving a discharge of the cutting beam from an underside of the workpiece during processing of the workpiece. The beam-catching device includes a housing defining an opening that opens toward the cutting beam and a beam-catching space adjacent the opening, the cutting beam discharging from the underside of the workpiece during the processing of the workpiece and entering the beam-catching space of the housing through the opening. The beam-catching device also includes at least one nozzle on at least one wall section of the housing, the nozzle feeding a fluid jet as a free jet to the beam-catching space in such a way that the at least one fluid jet crosses the cutting beam.

Abstract: A wellhead hydraulic drive unit to operate various styles of downhole pumps, the wellhead hydraulic drive unit comprising: an hydraulic cylinder having a piston positioned therein for reciprocation within the cylinder, hydraulic fluid supply means for producing reciprocation of the piston, a ram within the cylinder and operably connected to the piston, the ram having a bore, and production tubing inserted through the bore of the ram for enabling well fluid to be discharged from the well, wherein the hydraulic fluid supply means are radially offset within the cylinder and the ram is oppositely radially offset within the cylinder. Offsetting the hydraulic fluid supply means and the ram allows for a larger inside diameter in both the production tubing and ram, increases the sizes of downhole pumps which can be installed/removed without removal of the drive unit, and serves as an anti-rotational feature with regards to the piston and ram.
