  • Publication number: 20250226057
Abstract: T cell responses are exquisitely antigen-specific and directed against peptide epitopes displayed by human leukocyte antigen (HLA) on the surface of presenting cells. In particular, class II HLA (HLA-II) is remarkably polymorphic, which allows for presentation of diverse peptide antigens to T cells, but also forms the basis for genetic associations with diverse immunopathologies across the spectrum of infectious disease and autoimmunity. Here, Applicants employ monoallelic immunopeptidomics to retrieve over 200,000 unique peptides presented by 41 HLA-II heterodimers covering major alleles across diverse ancestries. Applicants leveraged this expansive dataset to develop computational models that predict peptide antigens based on HLA-II binding properties and infer informative features of the protein antigens from which these peptides derive.

  • Patent number: 12266908
Abstract: A device includes a multiple-wavelength (e.g., dual wavelength) vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) array including a first VCSEL set including one or more first VCSEL to emit first VCSEL radiation at a first wavelength, and a second VCSEL set including one or more second VCSEL to emit second VCSEL radiation at a second wavelength different than the first wavelength. The device includes upstream optics to upstream optics to (a) collimate the first VCSEL radiation emitted by the first VCSEL set and (b) collimate the second VCSEL radiation emitted by the second VCSEL set. The device also includes a vapor cell to receive the collimated first VCSEL radiation and the collimated second VCSEL radiation and to provide an output beam as a function of the received collimated first VCSEL radiation and collimated second VCSEL radiation, and measurement circuitry to analyze the output beam provided by the vapor cell.

  • Publication number: 20200000957
Abstract: Fibrin Sealant products are used for topical hemostasis and tissue adherence. They are composed of two main reagents, fibrinogen and thrombin. When mixed in solution fibrinogen is converted to fibrin upon the addition of activated thrombin. Therefore typically these two components are stored separately in a lyophilized or liquid state, and mixed, upon or immediately before, application to a patient. While effective, these products require significant preparation that must take place immediately before application, thus delaying treatment and limiting the use of these haemostatic products to the treatment of mild forms of low pressure and low volume bleeding. Attempts to eliminate this delay and expand the usefulness and effectiveness of these products have resulted in products produced by processes that require the separation of these components and their deposition in distinct layers within the product.

  • Patent number: 10499092
Abstract: A remote server generates a data stream that is broadcasted to a plurality of receivers. The broadcasted data stream includes a video track having a video data stream, a control track, and a plurality of ancillary data tracks including ancillary data. A specific template is assigned to each of the receivers. Each of the receivers renders a composite video image for display on a display device. Each of the composite video images includes the same video data stream, but each receiver uses its assigned template and selected ancillary data to render its own unique composite video image from the same video data stream.

  • Publication number: 20130320250
Abstract: Improvements in an electronic valve control system is disclosed where the valve is a spring diaphragm irrigation control valve where the flow rate is controlled with pulsed signal to a control solenoid. This device functions as hydraulic amplifier where the input signal is characterized by the duty cycle ratio of the applied electrical signal, and the output is the flow rate through the irrigation valve. The pilot path of the solenoid on the valve is rapidly alternated between enabled and disable states. This is achieved by installing an electrically actuated valve at some point along pilot path. The electrical signal to this valve is rapidly pulsed. This causes the irrigation valve to be held in a partially opened state. The duty cycle of the pulse signal controls the flow rate of water through the irrigation valve.

  • Patent number: 7659433
Abstract: 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) substantially free of 1,1,1-trifluoroacetone (TFA) can be separated from a mixture containing both compounds by A) catalytic reduction with hydrogen followed by fractional distillation; B) cooling to a temperature at which HFIP freezes and TFA remains liquid; C) forming a high boiling complex comprising HF and TFA followed by fractional distillation; or D) producing HF-free conditions to yield a HFIP/TFA azeotrope followed by fractional distillation. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract, which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR ยง 1.72(b).
