  • Publication number: 20200070219
Abstract: A method and system for removing debris from drainage lines in high rise building uses a high pressure water line terminated by a head having one or more backwards-facing nozzles. The thrust force creates at the backward-facing nozzle(s) is sufficient to propel the head and water line vertically up a drainage line. An operates can control the head and, with the assistance of a video system used with the head, maneuver the head along the line, into single stack aerator fittings, and into and along horizontal lines connected to the single stack aerator fittings. The force of the water exiting the nozzle(s) on the head both dislodges debris in the drainage line and fittings, and urges it downstream back to the access point where the head was inserted into the drainage line.

  • Patent number: 10301804
Abstract: A method of removing debris from piping within a high-rise building plumbing network includes inserting a portion of a flexible optical device and flexible water conduit into an opening defined by a plumbing system, the flexible water conduit operably coupled to a water pressure device. The method also includes coupling an end of a vacuum conduit, operably coupled to a vacuum assembly, to the opening and producing an image of a plumbing channel defined by the plumbing system with the flexible optical device. Next, the method includes maneuvering the portion of the flexible optical device within the plumbing system until the image of the plumbing channel depicts a debris at least partially obstructing the plumbing channel, inducing a stream of fluid directed at the debris, and then inducing a vacuum within the plumbing system sufficient to remove the debris from the plumbing system.

  • Patent number: 6224796
Abstract: Processes for the batch production of rubber-based compositions capable of being shaped and shaped articles made thereof. They include a step of high intensity mixing cured rubber particles with other selected compounds into a closed mixing chamber provided on a high intensity mixer including a central shaft having mixing blades. Through high speed rotation of the shaft, blade tip speed above about 20 meter/s are obtained to intensively mix and thermokinetically heat the batch of mixable material, whose temperature is continuously monitored. Discharge of the batch from the mixing chamber takes place when the temperature is considered to have reached a reference value ensuring a substantially uniform mix of the rubber material and added compounds, to produce the rubber-based composition.

  • Patent number: 4716213
Abstract: The preparation of the polyols involves the following steps: (a) introducing in a reactor a mixture of acids comprising about 50 to 70% by weight of glutaric acid, about 15 to 30% by weight of succinic acid and about 10 to 20% by weight of adipic acid, or esters or anhydrides of these acids, with at least one polyhydroxy alcohol selected from the group consisting of secondary alcohols, tertiary alcohols and highly cluttered primary alcohols, with a catalyst selected from the group consisting of stannous and stannic chlorides and alkyl-tin compounds; (b) the reaction mixture is flushed with an inert gas; (c) the reaction mixture is heated while stirring at a temperature which does not exceed about 225.degree. C.; (d) removing 90 to 95% of the water or methanol formed in step (c); (e) introducing into the reactor at least one slightly cluttered primary alcohol; (f) heating at about 225.degree. C.
