  • Publication number: 20250058876
Abstract: A system for cooling an aircraft galley trolley. The system includes a trolley cooling compartment for stowing an aircraft galley trolley; and a heat exchanger to provide cold air to the trolley cooling compartment. The trolley cooling compartment defines an inlet proximal to the base of the trolley cooling compartment for receiving the cold air. The trolley cooling compartment cools the aircraft galley trolley through the transfer of heat to the cold air. The transfer of heat to the cold air heats the cold air to produce warmer air.

  • Patent number: 11370546
Abstract: A stair closure mechanism is disclosed. In embodiments, the stair closure mechanism is attached to and deploys in concert with a door separating an overhead crew rest compartment and access stairway from the main cabin. As the door is closed, a closure panel mechanically pivots with the closing of the door into a horizontal deployed position. When in the deployed position, the closure panel conforms to the floor of the overhead compartment, securely blocking the free space between the stairway and the floor from persons in the overhead compartment who might otherwise step or stumble thereinto.

  • Publication number: 20210047042
Abstract: A galley structure for an aircraft cabin includes double-depth cart bays capable of stowing an outer full-size cart in front of an inner fell-size cart. An extraction and retention (E&R) system is mounted to a sidewall of the double-depth cart bay and includes a stowable retainer arm and fixed extractor arm coupled to and articulable via an extraction handle that may be pulled or pushed out of or toward the cart bay. When the outer cart is removed, the inner cart can be brought forward for extraction via the extractor arm (the inner cart extractable once the retainer arm is stowed) and returned to its inner stowed position via the retainer arm (in both cases, by pulling or pushing the extraction handle). The extraction handle includes a retainer actuator for stowing or deploying the retainer arm as needed.
