Patent number: 11951225Abstract: A battery-powered tracking component may be attached to a sterilization case. The tracking component may collect, store and transmit usage information associated with the sterilization case. The supplying of power to the tracking component may be temporarily stopped during autoclave processes. As the high temperatures and pressurized steam of autoclave processes may drain an active battery, the lifespan of the battery may be elongated by deactivating the battery during the autoclave processes. A temperature sensor may detect when the temperature of the sterilization case rises above a threshold indicating a start of the autoclave process, and when the temperature of the sterilization case falls below a threshold indicating an end of the autoclave process. The usage information may include a count of autoclave processes and durations of time periods between autoclave processes. The usage information may be used to determine times at which autoclave processes are performed.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2019Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: DePuy Synthes Products, Inc.Inventors: Avery Price, Rene Haag, Sriram Raghunathan, Daniel Essafi

Publication number: 20220348885Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for biologically relevant in vitro screening of neural function, including determination of the effects of an agent on neural cells. The compositions of the invention useful in such screening methods include a neural co-culture system comprising human pluripotent stem cell (PSC)-derived neurons and human glial cells, which may be derived by culture methods allowing for rapid and robust development of highly mature neuronal activity, particularly spontaneous synchronous network bursts.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 12, 2022Publication date: November 3, 2022Inventors: Jonathan Davila, Daniel Haag, Marius Wernig, Siddhartha S. Mitra, Thomas C. Sudhof

Patent number: 9561823Abstract: A motor vehicle rear end has left and right longitudinal beams (12, 14) forming load-bearing structures of the vehicle, and a receiving housing (18) is between the left and right longitudinal beams (12, 14) for accommodating a traction battery. The receiving housing (18) has left and right side walls (22, 24) and a central wall (26) running in a forward direction of travel. An impact profile (26) is connected to the longitudinal beams (12, 14) at the level of the receiving housing (18) and absorbs impact energy in the event of a rear-end crash. The impact profile (26) has a left and right predetermined buckling points (36, 38) that enable the impact profile (26) to buckle toward the receiving housing (18) in a rear-end crash. The impact profile (26) that buckles in a rear-end crash strikes the receiving housing (18) along the longitudinal extent of the central wall (25).Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2015Date of Patent: February 7, 2017Assignee: DR. ING. H.C.F. PORSCHE AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: Wilfried Eberle, Herbert Klamser, Franz-Rudolf Wierschem, Gerald Hekmann, Daniel Haag

Patent number: 9475392Abstract: A protective arrangement for safety-relevant parts of a motor vehicle that are arranged in a supporting structure. The protective arrangement is provided between the safety-relevant part and the closest bumper. The protective arrangement has at least one protective element that is arched in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle toward the outside of the motor vehicle. The protective element is mounted directly or indirectly on the supporting structure via bearings that are configured such that a bearing action acts only in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2014Date of Patent: October 25, 2016Assignee: DR. ING H.C.F. PORSCHE AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: Herbert Klamser, Daniel Haag

Patent number: 9126637Abstract: A motor vehicle rear (10) has left and right longitudinal members (12) forming a supporting structure of the motor vehicle. A receiving housing (18) is arranged between the longitudinal members (12) for receiving a traction battery. The receiving housing (18) has a left and right side walls (22, 24) running in the forward direction of travel. A back wall (20) is connected to the left and right side walls (22) and running transverse to the forward direction of travel. An impact profile (26) is connected to the left and right longitudinal members (12, 14) and absorbs impact energy in the event of a rear crash. Left and right reinforcing elements (32 34) connect the impact profile (26) to the respective left and right side walls (22, 24) for reinforcing the impact profile (26) and conducting away some of the impact energy into the left and right side walls (22, 24).Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2014Date of Patent: September 8, 2015Assignee: Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AktiengesellschaftInventors: Wilfried Eberle, Herbert Klamser, Franz-Rudolf Wierschem, Gerald Hekmann, Daniel Haag
