  • Patent number: 12607500
Abstract: A sound and vibration sensing device comprising a housing, a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) including a sensor element supported inside the housing. A flexible and non-porous structural membrane is arranged to seal the housing at one end creating a first closed air volume below the sensor element and a second closed air volume above the sensor element wherein the sensor element measures changes in air pressure in the first closed air volume caused by vibration of the structural membrane induced by external acoustic pressure and structural vibration to output a combined sound and vibration signal.

    Assignee: Harman International Industries, Incorporated
Inventors: Yu Du, Pablo Diego Regla, Péter Tamás Podlócz, Daniel Hajdu
  • Patent number: 12532111
Abstract: A microphone arrangement comprises a microphone array comprising at least two microphones, each of the at least two microphones providing a microphone output signal, a first adder, configured to provide a microphone array output signal by summing delayed versions of the microphone output signals of each of the at least two microphones, a first filter unit, configured to provide a filtered microphone array output signal, a second filter unit configured to provide a filtered microphone output signal of one of the at least two microphones, and a second adder, configured to provide an output microphone signal by summing the filtered microphone array output signal and the filtered microphone output signal.

  • Publication number: 20250267404
Abstract: A microphone arrangement comprises an omnidirectional microphone providing a first microphone output signal (s1[n]), a unidirectional microphone providing a second microphone output signal (s2[n]), a first filter unit and an adder configured to provide a microphone arrangement output signal (sout[n]) by summing a filtered first microphone output signal (s1?[n]) and either the second microphone output signal or a filtered second microphone output signal (s2?[n]) provided by a second filter unit. The first filter unit removes the mid-frequency range component from the first microphone output signal (s1[n]) such that the filtered first microphone output signal (s1?[n]) only comprises the low frequency range and the high frequency range components. The second filter unit is configured to remove the low frequency and/or the high frequency range components from the second microphone output signal (s2[n]).
