  • Patent number: 11996693
Abstract: A support system for an AC power transmission system, comprising an energy storage arrangement comprising a plurality of storage units and a main controller configured to control the operation of the energy storage arrangement. Each storage unit comprises at least three control signal connections and is configured to receive a control signal from at least three storage entities via said control signal connections, wherein each of the storage entities is either the main controller or a storage unit controller of an adjacent storage unit. The storage units are arranged to forward a control signal received via a first one of said control signal connections to all adjacent storage units that are connected via the remaining ones of said control signal connections.

  • Publication number: 20230361596
Abstract: A method for establishing a wireless communication system in a high-voltage power converter station is provided. The high-voltage power converter station includes a plurality of power devices. The wireless communication system includes a plurality of wireless communication devices, some of which are associated with a power device such that a power device and a wireless communication device together form a wireless power electronic module. The high-voltage power converter station further comprises at least one wireless networking device for providing a communication interface between the plurality of wireless communication devices and a controller configured to control the power devices.

  • Publication number: 20230344363
Abstract: There is provided a method of controlling a plurality of converter cells in a phase arm of a modular multilevel converter (MMC) in accordance with a main reference. The method includes dividing the main reference into a plurality of reference parts, and, by using a grouping of the plurality of converter cells into a plurality of groups, operating a plurality of modulators in parallel, each modulator controlling a respective one of the groups of converter cells in accordance with one of the reference parts. A phase arm controlled in accordance with such a method is also provided, as well as an MMC including at least one such phase arm, and a converter station including at least one such MMC.

  • Publication number: 20230095300
Abstract: A method can be used to synchronize time between nodes of a converter device for high voltage power conversion. The method is performed in a first node of the converter device and includes receiving a time reference from a second node of the converter device, obtaining a delay value for receiving time references from the second node, determining a compensated time by adding the delay value to the time reference, and setting a clock in the first node to be the compensated time.

  • Patent number: 11169222
Abstract: A system is provided for detecting a radio frequency signal. The system includes a dielectric platform, a first SQUID array, a second array of SQUIDs and a processing component. The dielectric platform has a first planar surface and a second planar surface that is disposed at an angle relative to the first planar surface. The first array of SQUIDs is disposed on the first planar surface and can output a first detection signal based on the radio frequency signal. The second array of SQUIDs is disposed on the second planar surface and can output a second detection signal based on the radio frequency signal. The processing component can determine a first plane from which the radio frequency signal is transmitting based on the first detection signal and the second detection signal.
