  • Patent number: 10210392
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for detecting an interaction event between two or more objects in a surveillance area, via the application of heuristics to trajectory representations of the static or dynamic movements associated with the objects. According to an exemplary embodiment, trajectory interaction features (TIFs) are extracted from the trajectory representations and heuristics are applied to the TIFs to determine if an interaction event has occurred, such as a potential illegal drug deal involving at least one pedestrian and at least one vehicle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 20, 2017
Date of Patent: February 19, 2019
    Assignee: Conduent Business Services, LLC
Inventors: Wencheng Wu, Edgar A. Bernal, Michael C. Mongeon, Daniel Hann, Robert P. Loce

  • Patent number: 9323991
Abstract: A method and system for adaptable video-based object tracking includes acquiring video data from a scene of interest and identifying an initial instance of an object of interest in the acquired video data. A representation of a target object is then established. One or more motion parameters associated with said scene of interest are used to adjust the size of a search neighborhood associated with said target object. The target object is then tracked frame-by-frame in the video data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 26, 2013
Date of Patent: April 26, 2016
    Assignee: Xerox Corporation

  • Patent number: 9213901
Abstract: A method and system for video-based object tracking includes detecting an initial instance of an object of interest in video captured of a scene being monitored and establishing a representation of a target object from the initial instance of the object. The dominant motion trajectory characteristic of the target object are then determined and a frame-by-frame location of the target object can be collected in order to track the target object in the video.

  • Patent number: 5588253
Abstract: A floral support assembly for presenting a display of fresh cut flowers. Floral foam is bonded to a backing to define a pre-shaped configuration. Moisture barrier means, preferably in the form of ambient air spaces, separate the floral foam into adjacent segments of predetermined dimensions, in at least the vertical direction. The barrier spaces have a predetermined width sufficient to prevent floral preservative solution from bridging between adjacent segments when the floral foam support assembly is inclined with respect to a horizontal frame of reference. The preferred method by which to saturate the aforesaid assembly with a floral preservative solution requires a container. At least a sufficient volume of the preservative solution is placed in the container to saturate the foam segments on whatever number of support assemblies are to be simultaneously processed. The support assemblies are then floated in the solution with the foam segments facing the solution.
