  • Publication number: 20240115314
Abstract: Provided herein are systems, devices, and methods for performing a medical procedure on a patient. The system comprises an ablation catheter comprising a shaft, at least one therapeutic element positioned on the shaft, and one or more tissue-contact sensing components configured to provide a contact signal related to the level of contact between the at least one therapeutic element and tissue. The system further comprises: an energy delivery unit configured to deliver ablative energy to the at least one therapeutic element to create a lesion in target tissue, and to provide an energy delivery data; a force module configured to receive the contact signal and provide contact data; and a processing unit configured to determine an ablation index based on both the energy delivery data and the contact data. The ablation index can represent the status of the lesion being created.

  • Patent number: 11240007
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for systems and methods for using secure enclaves for decryption in unsecured locations. Example methods may include receiving, by a webserver, an encrypted session key from a device, where the encrypted session key is encrypted using a public key associated with the webserver, sending the encrypted session key to a key server for decryption, where the key server is configured to decrypt the encrypted session key in a secure enclave, determining, by the key server, a decrypted session key using a private key, where private key data for a number of private keys is stored at the secure enclave, receiving a decrypted session key from the key server, where the decrypted session key is the encrypted session key in decrypted form, and establishing a secure session with the device using the decrypted session key.

  • Patent number: 10716171
Abstract: An aircraft includes an air data sensor and a heating element. The air data sensor includes a probe and transducer coupled to the probe. The heating element is disposed within the probe and is configured to emit heat that heats the probe. The aircraft further comprises a heater control system in signal communication with the heating element and a thermal sensor system. The thermal sensor system is configured to determine the emitted heat from the heating element based on the thermal radiation of heat released from a surface of the probe. In this manner, the heater control system can actively vary the temperature of the heating element based on the emitted heat from the heating element.

  • Patent number: 8052730
Abstract: A therapeutic device for thermally assisted urinary function is presented. The therapeutic pad (14) is composed of an upper thermal element (18) and a lower thermal element (19) having a portal (15), both elements substantially cup-shaped to cover and contact the groin. The therapeutic pad (14) is composed of a material sufficiently capable of storing energy from either an external or internal source. The therapeutic pad (14) communicates stored energy as heat to tissues comprising the groin and regions adjacent thereto. The portal (15) allows for the unimpeded flow of urine from the urinary tract into a receptacle.

  • Publication number: 20050056195
Abstract: A combustion air system for a recovery boiler is described in which multiple levels of secondary and tertiary combustion air ports each have an even number of ports, with the ports on opposing walls interlaced. The air system lends itself equally well to front/rear wall or sidewall applications and is especially beneficial for rectangular boilers. The air system features large and small-scale horizontal circulation zones superimposed on each other and the ability to adjust the angle of the air jets. Additional features include port dampers for the starting burners and system control based on kinetic energy.
