  • Patent number: 11952601
Abstract: This invention relates to novel recombinant clostridial neurotoxins exhibiting an increased duration of effect without a delayed onset of effect and to methods for the manufacture of such recombinant clostridial neurotoxins. These novel recombinant clostridial neurotoxins comprise a domain consisting of proline, alanine, serine, threonine, glycine and glutamate residues, and the methods comprise the steps of inserting a nucleic acid sequence coding for said domain into a nucleic acid sequence coding for a parental clostridial neurotoxin and expression of the recombinant nucleic acid sequence comprising said domain-coding sequence in a host cell. The invention further relates to novel recombinant single-chain precursor clostridial neurotoxins used in such methods, nucleic acid sequences encoding such recombinant single-chain precursor clostridial neurotoxins, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the recombinant clostridial neurotoxin with an increased duration of effect without a delayed onset of effect.

  • Patent number: 11561531
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling a color masterbatch feed rate in production of a manufactured part to match a color of the manufactured part to a target color by adjusting a concentration of masterbatch that is mixed with a raw material and fed into a processing machine for producing the manufactured part. Control of the color masterbatch feed rate is based on optical spectral properties of an in-line manufactured part, a known reference part having the target color, and an algorithm for calculating and adjusting the color masterbatch feed rate.

  • Patent number: 11486717
Abstract: In order to determine navigation instructions, a mapping server can use digital map data, which can include a set of intersections connected by road segments. In some cases, the mapping server generates navigation guidance data for one or more intersections of digital map data. Responsive to a request for navigation instructions from a client device, the mapping server can generate a navigation route between an origin and destination location, and a corresponding set of navigation instructions can be generated based on the navigation route. In some implementations, the generated navigation instructions are then modified to clarify or otherwise improve the quality of the navigation instructions. Finally, the finalized navigation instructions can be sent to a client device for display to the requesting user.

  • Patent number: 11454500
Abstract: A feature extraction system extracts map features from an aerial image. The feature extraction system receives an aerial image having pixels and predicts, for each pixel, a probability that the pixel corresponds to a map feature based on a machine learning model. The machine learning model is trained to determine a probability that a pixel corresponds to the map feature based on a training dataset comprising pairs of aerial images and corresponding mask images that describe known instances of the map feature. The feature extraction system identifies a subset of pixels of the plurality of pixels. Each pixel in the subset has a predicted probability that is greater than or equal to a threshold probability that a pixel corresponds to the map feature. The feature extraction system further determines a bounded geometry enclosing the identified subset of pixels, the bounding geometry encompassing an instance of the map feature.

  • Patent number: 10703018
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for optimizing a match between the color of an in-line part manufactured by a plastic product production machine and the color of a reference part by adjusting the concentration of masterbatch in the mixture of raw material fed to the plastic product production machine. The optimization of the color is based on interlaced spectra of the in-line part and reference part obtained using the same spectrometer, thereby eliminating the requirement for high accuracy spectrometer calibration and allowing a controller of the system to determine the rates at which the base masterbatches are added to the raw material in real time on the manufacturing floor while the plastic product production machine is being operated to manufacture in-line parts.

  • Patent number: 9047409
Abstract: A method for processing data of a control unit in a data communication device, which has a first memory area and a second memory area, and is connected to the control unit through an interface. Data from the control unit is transmitted to the data communication device through the interface. A value is stored identically in the first memory area and in the second memory area. The data communication device tests whether a first trigger is present, and if present, storage in the first memory area is discontinued, or the trigger class of the first trigger is tested and storage in the first memory area is discontinued only in the presence of a predefined trigger class. Subsequently, values of the data are read out from the first memory area, whereby values arriving chronologically after the first trigger are stored in the second memory area by the data communication device.

  • Publication number: 20140367925
Abstract: A hot gas seal for sealing an opening in a heat shield element or between heat shield elements of a heat shield includes a resilient portion for providing a force which is designed such that the hot gas seal can be held in the opening by the force and/or that the sealing efficiency of the hot gas seal is increased by the force. Further, a hot gas seal assembly for sealing an opening in a heat shield element or between heat shield elements of a heat shield against a hot gas is provided, the assembly including a sealing body and a further sealing element which is in a solid state at room temperature and in a high viscosity liquid state at a temperature of the hot gas.

  • Patent number: 8818615
Abstract: A method is provided for processing data in an influencing device, whereby the influencing device is connected to a vehicle control unit and to a data processing unit. The vehicle control unit and the influencing device are disposed in a motor vehicle or, for example, on a test bench in a laboratory. A first program runs in the vehicle control unit. Data are exchanged according to an XCP protocol and/or a CCP protocol between the data processing unit and the influencing device. The influencing device has a second execution unit, which executes predetermined data processing steps more rapidly than the first execution unit. The data exchanged by the XCP protocol or the CCP protocol are checked for a predetermined criterion and, based on the result of the check, the data are processed either in the first execution unit or in the second execution unit.

  • Patent number: 8695989
Abstract: An inventive hot gas seal for sealing an opening, e.g. a gap or hole, in a heat shield element or between heat shield elements of a heat shield or a liner comprises at least one resilient portion for providing a force which is designed such that the hot gas seal can be held in said opening by said force and/or that the sealing efficiency of the hot gas seal is increased by said force. Thus, further means for holding the seal in place and/or for increasing the sealing efficiency are not necessary. The invention is particularly useful if the design of said resilient portion is such that the force provides a holding action and increases the sealing efficiency, at the same time.
