  • Publication number: 20210316379
Abstract: A cutting device with the capability of cutting hard materials, such as steels, stainless steels and other similar and exotic alloys. The cutting device includes a cutter head having a central aperture and a stationary body having a channel extending therethrough. The stationary body extends through the central aperture of the cutter head. The cutter head is rotatable between a first configuration and a second configuration relative to the stationary body. The cutting device also includes first and second substantially parallel blades fixed to the stationary body. In the first configuration, the first blade is a first distance from the second blade. In the second configuration, the first blade is a second distance from the second blade. The cutting assembly is connected to a drive mechanism with a driver and an actuator. The actuator connects the cutter head to the driver. Engagement of the driver rotates the actuator, which rotates the cutter head.

  • Publication number: 20090165784
Abstract: An intubation device for intubation of a patient that includes a tube comprising a body comprising a mixture of a polymer composition and a lubricant that provides inherent lubricity to the surface of the body and methods for intubating a patient with such a device. The lubricant assists in withdrawal of a stylet wire and does not require activation.

  • Publication number: 20090093794
Abstract: A tube assembly includes a head component that may be weighted. The tube assembly is formed by welding a head tube to a main tube using a die heated by radiofrequency energy. A head lumen in fluid communication with the main tube and seal between the head lumen and a chamber of the head component are formed generally simultaneously when the head tube is welded to the main tube. At another step, weights or filler members are inserted into the chamber. A rounded tip of the tube assembly is formed by forcing a distal end of the head tube into a die that is heated by radiofrequency energy. Outlet openings in fluid communication with the head lumen are formed in the head tube using a punch device. An inlet adaptor of the tube assembly is welded to main tube using a die that is heated by radiofrequency energy.
