Publication number: 20250032007Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to provide guidance to a user regarding management of a physiologic condition such as diabetes. The determination may be based upon a patient glucose concentration level. The glucose concentration level may be provided to a stored model to determine a state. The guidance may be determined based at least in part on the determined state.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2024Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventors: Alexandra Elena CONSTANTIN, Scott M. Patent number: 7699063Abstract: A drawer-type dishwasher includes a dispenser mounted to one of front and opposing side walls of a basin. The basin is slidably supported in an outer body of the dishwasher. The dispenser includes a main body portion, first and second reservoirs and an actuator. Each of the first and second reservoirs includes upper and lower openings. The first reservoir includes a cover that selectively closes the upper opening, while the lower opening is opened by the actuator. The second reservoir is provided with first and second lids pivotally mounted to the main body portion. The first lid is opened to allow loading of wash aid, while the second lid is opened during a wash operation to release the wash aid. After the wash operation concludes, the second lid is closed, causing the first lid to open allowing detergent to again be loaded into the second reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2005Date of Patent: April 20, 2010Assignee: Maytag CorporationInventor: Daniel Hruby

Publication number: 20070154323Abstract: A pumping system for moving water of a swimming pool includes a water pump, an infinitely variable speed motor, and an arrangement for operating the motor. In one example, the pumping system includes a memory configured to store a plurality of retained speed values, an arrangement for providing a plurality of retained speed values to the memory, and an arrangement for reading a selected one of the plurality of retained speed values from the memory. In addition or alternatively, the pumping system includes a storage medium for digitally storing a plurality of pre-established motor speed values and an arrangement for receiving input from a user to select one of the pre-established motor speeds. In addition or alternatively, the pumping system further includes an arrangement for restarting operation of the motor at a previously selected speed value when power supplied to the motor is interrupted during operation of the motor. A method for controlling the pumping system is also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2006Publication date: July 5, 2007Inventors: Robert Stiles, Lars Berthelsen, Ronald Robol, Christopher Yahnker, Daniel Hruby, Kevin Murphy, Einar Runarsson, Arne Hansen, Florin Lungeanu, Peter Westermann-Rasmussen

Publication number: 20070154322Abstract: A pumping system for moving water of a swimming pool includes a water pump, a variable speed motor, and an arrangement for controlling the variable speed motor. The pumping system further includes an auxiliary device operably connected to the arrangement for controlling, and an arrangement for providing two-way communication between the arrangement for controlling and the auxiliary device. The arrangement for controlling is capable of receiving a parameter from the auxiliary device through the arrangement for providing two-way communication. In one example, the arrangement for controlling is capable of independently controlling the variable speed motor without receipt of a parameter from the auxiliary device. In addition or alternatively, the arrangement for controlling is operable to selectively alter operation of the motor based upon the parameter.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2006Publication date: July 5, 2007Inventors: Robert Stiles, Lars Berthelsen, Ronald Robol, Christopher Yahnker, Daniel Hruby, Kevin Murphy, Edward Brown, David MacCallum, Dennis Dunn, Kenneth Clark, Einar Kjartan Runarsson, Alberto Morando

Publication number: 20070114162Abstract: A pumping system includes a pump for moving water. In one aspect, this is in connection with performance of an operation. The system includes a variable speed motor operatively connected to drive the pump. A value indicative of flow rate of water is determined and the motor is controlled to adjust the flow rate indicative value toward a constant. A value indicative of flow pressure is determined and the motor is controlled to adjust the flow pressure indicative value toward a constant. A selection is made between flow rate control and flow pressure control. In another aspect, the pump is controlled to perform a first operation, and is operated to perform a second water operation. Control of operation of the pump to perform the first water operation is altered in response to operation of the pump to perform the second operation.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2005Publication date: May 24, 2007Applicants: Pentair Water Pool and Spa, Inc., Danfoss Low Power Drives, a division of Danfoss Drive A/SInventors: Robert Stiles, Lars Berthelsen, Ronald Robol, Christopher Yahnker, Everett Cox, Donald Steen, Kevin Murphy, Walter Woodcock, Daniel Hruby, Peter Westermann-Rasmussen, Gert Kjaer, Einar Runarsson, Arne Hansen, Alberto Morando, Florin Lungeanu, Nils-Ole Harvest

Patent number: 7146993Abstract: A bracket is provided for mounting an object to a tub of a dishwasher. The bracket is mounted on the annulus edge of the pump opening in the bottom of the tub adjacent the pump seal ring. No other fasteners are used to secure the bracket to the tub. The bracket is mounted on the tub before the pump is installed. In one embodiment a thermostat is pivotally mounted on the bracket so as to maintain substantially flush engagement with the tub. In a second embodiment, a wire harness extends through a loop of the bracket for support adjacent the tub.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 2003Date of Patent: December 12, 2006Assignee: Maytag CorporationInventors: Jeffrey N. Williams, J. Don Milam, Dwight M. Turner, Daniel Hruby

Patent number: 6234184Abstract: A secondary filter of the present invention is adapted to provide for secondary filtering of wash water that has already been filtered by a primary filter to further remove very fine particles and therefore reduce the deposit of particles on the dishes being washed. The secondary filter is comprised of an annular chamber having an input port in communication with the pump and an output port in communication with the drain. The top of the annular chamber includes a plurality of openings covered by a fine mesh to allow wash water to pass but not fine particles. While the dishwasher is draining, any wash water and particles in the annular chamber will be flushed out through the output port.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1999Date of Patent: May 22, 2001Assignee: Maytag CorporationInventors: Barry E.
