Abstract: A device for disinfecting liquids, comprising at least one photosensitizer and at least one bypass which comprises radiation sources and which is arranged such that light emitted from the radiation sources passes through the liquid. The bypass has at least one layer in which the radiation sources are arranged, and the radiation sources emit visible light and a method for disinfecting liquids using a device, wherein the light emitted from the radiation sources excites the at least one photosensitizer from a base state into an excited state, and reactive oxygen species are formed by means of the energy dispensed by the photosensitizer when transitioning from the excited state into an energetically lower state.

Abstract: The “Smart Tarp” is a self weighted weather proof cover. That can be made out of any type of weather proof material, and or material. It is used for covering items that can be harmed or damaged by and type of weather. Such as rain, snow, sun, wind and sleet, it also protects covered items from blowing away due to any type of high wind or vehicle movement and holds items in place if needed also. The weight is attached directly to the material used whether sown or heat welded, and can be placed in any area needed to provide proper coverage to any item or items being covered or protected. No tie downs or clips are needed for use of the “Smart Tarp”.

Abstract: A holding apparatus for the vertebra of a spinal column. It furthermore has a mount for a bar which is provided at the side of the holding apparatus which faces away from a clamping screw. The clamping screw of the holding apparatus produces a rigid connection of the holding apparatus to the bar which is located in the mount. The apparatus retains the bar in the mount and can be brought into connection with the holding apparatus so as to temporarily retain in the mount a bar which is introduced into the mount until the holding apparatus is fixed to the bar by way of a rigid connection.

Abstract: A flavorant product is prepared by heat-treating a first quantity of oilseeds for from 1 minute to 20 minutes at a temperature of from 220.degree. C. to 320.degree. C. and heat-treating a second quantity of oilseeds for from 1 minute to 40 minutes at a temperature of from 140.degree. C. to 180.degree. C. and then grinding and mixing the first and second heat-treated oilseeds.
