Abstract: A vehicle can include a chassis, a combination body pivotally secured to the chassis, a conveyor assembly disposed within the body and adapted to convey materials stored within the body out therefrom, and a tailgate attached to the body. The body includes a front end, an open rear end, and first and second side walls extending therebetween. A rear body superstructure extends around the rear end of the body to reinforce and strengthen the rear end of the body. The conveyor assembly includes a conveyor shaft assembly that allows for easy removal and installation of conveyor shafts and accompanying parts. A tailgate chute is removably mounted to the tailgate via a pair of mounting hooks and a mounting bar extending across an opening of the tailgate.

Abstract: A secure currency deposit system having a cabinet with one or more compartments, each for containing a cassette wherein each cassette has an openable front wall, a cavity, and a slotted upper panel for receiving currency therethrough. Each of the cassettes has a locking arrangement to selectively permit insertion access to its slotted upper panel. Associated with each of the compartments is another locking arrangement which, in conjunction with the cassette locking arrangement and an unlatching arrangement, selectively permits contents removal access to the cavity of the respective cavity and, in conjunction with a latching arrangement, selectively permits removal of the respective cassette from the respective compartment. Each cassette has dividers partitioning its cavity into a plurality of bins. Each cassette may be removable from, or semi-permanently installed in, the respective compartment.

Abstract: An improved secure latch for a fixture having a door with a double-wall structure, including an endwall with an exit port and an inner sidewall with a slot near the endwall and parallel thereto. An entry port of a facing member and an orifice of a tongue, slidably receivable through the slot, of a latch attached to the facing member are aligned with the exit port as the door is in a closed configuration such that a bolt of a lock installed in the door is slidable therethrough as the bolt is displaced between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. The secure latch is adapted to retain the door in a closed configuration as the bolt is in a locked configuration even though the facing member may be forced clear of the bolt. Further, the secure latch prevents the lock from being sprung open without inflicting severe and visible damage to the door and/or the facing member. A modified embodiment provides the endwall without the exit port and the facing member without the entry port.

Abstract: A cashier's console includes in a vertically stacked arrangement a safe or secure deposit base, a security box and a cash drawer. The security box includes a number of currency bill insertion slots which are arranged parallel to an upper front edge of the security box but are recessed inward from the upper front edge of the security box. A face plate of the cash drawer is sloped toward the currency insertion slots to function as a guide surface for inserted bills. The guide surface raises in effect the height from which bills may be conveniently inserted into the insertion slots. The effective upward positioning of the insertion heights makes it easier for a cashier to sort money into the slots on a daily basis, thereby raising the efficiency of the insertion operation. Vertical guides provide lateral guiding action to further increase the efficiency of the operation.

Abstract: A bag depository for a drive-up type of automatic teller machine features a drum having a deposit receiving cavity. The drum rotates about its axis between deposit receiving and deposit dump positions. As the drum rotates from its dump to its receiving position the drum also moves forwardly from the rear to the front of its housing to receive a deposit and then retreats to the rear of the housing to dump the deposit. At an intermediate position in its forward movement the drum engages a drawer and pushes the latter forward to an open position at which point the drawer forms a forwardly extending shelf upon which the customer places his deposit and from which the deposit slides into the drum cavity. When the drum retreats it pulls the drawer closed and then alone continues on rearwardly to dump the deposit.
