  • Patent number: 12144935
Abstract: A package for a medical device such as an intermittent catheter has a case with open and closed ends. A hinge connects a cap to the case to permit movement of the cap between open and closed positions. A seal connected to one of the cap and case is engageable with the other to maintain a sterile environment inside the package. The seal can be repeatedly made and broken whenever the user closes or opens the cap. The case includes a pair of slots at the open end. A pair of latches is formed in the cap. The latches fit into the slots to prevent lateral forces from distorting the cap when the cap is closed. A first use indication label spans a depression in the outer contour of a closed cap and case, assuring visual confirmation of breach of the label upon first opening of the cap.

  • Publication number: 20240353470
Abstract: A test and measurement system includes a device under test (DUT) interface structured to couple to at least one DUT and a measurement instrument coupled to the interface. The instrument includes one or more processors configured to, when testing the DUT, accept a measurement signal at a first input channel and generate a first sample waveform from the measurement signal using a first set of parameters, accept the measurement signal at a second input channel and generate a second sample from the measurement signal using a second set of parameters, and generate a measurement waveform from a combination of the first sample waveform and the second sample waveform. Additionally, the measurement instrument is structured to determine settling errors in the first pulse of a double-pulse test, and then compensate measurements made in subsequent pulses for the settling errors.

  • Publication number: 20240268721
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for measuring an analyte in a biological system. A system may include a medical device with an electrochemical sensor configured to sense the concentration of a plurality of analytes present in a biological system. Processing circuitry of the system may retrieve, identify, and process a respective signal from a respective work electrode to determine the concentration of a respective analyte. The system may further include an implantable medical device configured to sense a cardiac electrogram (EGM). In some examples, the system may be configured to determine one or more patient-specific relationships between the respective signals of the electrochemical sensor and the cardiac EGM during a first period of time. Based on the patient-specific relationships, the system may estimate concentrations of the one or more analytes corresponding to the respective signals based on the cardiac EGM of the patient collected over a second period of time.

  • Publication number: 20180233290
Abstract: A structural capacitor having a plurality of planar dielectric layers and a plurality of positive and negative electrodes with the positive and negative electrodes alternating between each dielectric layer. First and second spaced apart holes are provided through each dielectric layer as well as the electrodes so that the first holes in the electrodes register with the first holes in the dielectric layer and likewise for the second holes. The capacitor is formed by stacking the dielectric layers and electrodes on two spaced apart alignment pins with a positive alignment pin extending through the first holes and a negative alignment pin extending through the second holes in the dielectric layers and electrodes. These alignment pins maintain layer alignment during subsequent thermal and pressure processing to bond together the dielectric and electrode layers into an integral structural material.

  • Patent number: 6202512
Abstract: A torsion screwdriver includes a positioning sleeve, a locking tube, a plurality of locking cylinder rods, a curved spring strip, a rotary member, a coupling sleeve, and a bit-driving shaft. The locking tube is disposed in the positioning sleeve, and is formed with rod-retaining slots for receiving the locking cylinder rods. The curved spring strip has one end connected to the locking tube, and the other end abutting against a projection at a front end of the positioning sleeve. The coupling sleeve is disposed in a sleeve-receiving hole of the locking tube, which is communicated with the rod-receiving slots, such that rotation of the positioning sleeve in a first direction results in co-rotation of the coupling sleeve with the positioning sleeve, whereas rotation of the positioning sleeve in a second direction results in idle rotation of the positioning sleeve relative to the coupling sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5636648
Abstract: A mobile rotator jet sewer cleaner vehicle for cleaning a sewer line by fluid pressure, the vehicle having a fluid supply for delivering the fluid under pressure to a hose wound on a reel assembly which can be selectively wound or unwound in a vertical direction, wherein a bearing assembly movable in a horizontal direction is secured on a platform and a reel assembly is mounted on and movable with the bearing assembly. A control for selectively actuating winding and unwinding the hose on the reel assembly is provided, and this control, which may also include other instruments and controls for operating the sewer cleaner, is movable with the bearing and reel assembly. In another embodiment of the invention, the platform telescopes into and away from a recess in the vehicle chassis, so that the reel and bearing assemblies are extended from the vehicle when in use, but may be retracted into the recess when desired, and in such event the retracted jet sewer cleaner may be enclosed within the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4224910
Abstract: In a closed loop air and fuel ratio controller for an engine, an air/fuel sensor is responsive to the engine exhaust gases to provide a signal representing the air/fuel ratio of the mixture supplied to the engine. The output of the sensor is sampled N times during each of successive sampling periods and the number of samples indicative of a rich mixture versus the number of samples indicative of a lean mixture is utilized to provide an output representing a rich or lean error input to the closed loop controller.
