  • Patent number: 5349980
Abstract: A service vehicle with a service module mounted in the bed of the service vehicle is used to change the engine oil of a customer vehicle and generally service the vehicle. The module includes a waste oil tank forming the base of the module and a plurality of fresh fluid tanks mounted above the base tank. The base tank is low and long in dimension and configured generally flat relative the fresh fluid tanks to spread the weight of the module over the bed of the service vehicle. The tanks of the module are configured such that equal portions of the cumulative volume of the tanks are positioned on either side of the longitudinal axis of the service vehicle such that the base tank distributes the weight of the fluids and the module equally on either side of the service vehicle. One tank is removably mounted to the other tanks. Extensible hoses are associated with each fresh fluid tank to pump the fluids to a customer vehicle and sight gauges on the tanks provide quick indication of the level of fluids therein.
