  • Publication number: 20240147183
Abstract: Techniques and devices are described for generating modified audio signals. The techniques include receiving an audio signal at a device, tracking a movement of the device, generating a first modified audio signal to spatialize the audio signal, generating a second modified audio signal to spatialize the audio signal, causing the first modified audio signal to be rendered using a first speaker of the device, and causing the second modified audio signal to be rendered using a second speaker of the device. In some cases, the first modified audio signal is generated using a first head-related transfer function (HRTF) and the movement of the device, and the second modified audio signal is generated using a second HRTF and the movement of the device, where the second HRTF is different from the first HRTF. Numerous variations and configurations will be apparent in view of this disclosure.

  • Patent number: 11937074
Abstract: The present document relates to methods and apparatus for rendering input audio for playback in a playback environment. The input audio includes at least one audio object and associated metadata, and the associated metadata indicates at least a location of the audio object. A method for rendering input audio including divergence metadata for playback in a playback environment comprises creating two additional audio objects associated with the audio object such that respective locations of the two additional audio objects are evenly spaced from the location of the audio object, on opposite sides of the location of the audio object when seen from an intended listener's position in the playback environment, determining respective weight factors for application to the audio object and the two additional audio objects, and rendering the audio object and the two additional audio objects to one or more speaker feeds in accordance with the determined weight factors.

  • Publication number: 20030221081
Abstract: Method and system aspects for increasing storage capacity in a digital image capture device are described. Compression levels of saved image files are utilized to increase storage capacity by identifying a level of compression of a saved image file in the digital image capture device. The identified level of compression is compared with a predetermined level of compression, and the saved image file is compressed to the predetermined level of compression when the identified level of compression does not match the predetermined level of compression to free storage space in the digital image capture device.
