  • Patent number: 10366560
Abstract: A lid dispensing system includes a housing, a sensor, and a dispenser. The sensor senses objects outside the housing. Once sensed, a dispenser within the housing coveys a lid outside the housing. A method for dispensing lids is also disclosed. The method includes sensing objects outside a housing, separating a lid from a stack of lids, and conveying lids to a position outside the housing.

  • Patent number: 9587920
Abstract: A non-pyrotechnic disseminator includes a body portion with a cover; a first compartment that holds disseminating materials; a spring-loaded piston; a cable connecting the piston to a base of the body portion: a second compartment adjacent to the first compartment; a control mechanism; and an initiator mechanism. The control mechanism sets a delay timing countdown for initiation of dissemination of the disseminating materials out of the body portion. The initiator mechanism begins the delay timing countdown. The second compartment includes a delay fuze module; and a cutting mechanism in contact with the cable. The delay fuze module processes the delay timing countdown, and upon expiration of the countdown, sends a signal to the cutting mechanism to cut the cable. When the cable cuts, the spring uncoils and pushes the piston, which forces the disseminating materials out of the body portion by rupturing the cover.

  • Patent number: 9423225
Abstract: A non-pyrotechnic disseminator includes a body portion with a cover; a first compartment adjacent to the cover that is configured to hold disseminating materials; a chamber adjacent to the first compartment; a disk within the chamber and adjacent to the first compartment; a flow control device adjacent to the chamber opposite the disk; a second compartment adjacent to the flow control device and including a pin; an actuating mechanism connected to the pin; a third compartment adjacent to the second compartment opposite the flow control device that is configured to hold compressed gas; and a seal separating the second compartment from the third compartment. Actuation of the actuating mechanism causes the pin to break the seal causing release of the compressed gas into the second compartment and through the flow control device in a predetermined delayed timing, and then causing the compressed gas to burst the disk thereby pushing the disseminating materials out of the body portion by rupturing the cover.

  • Patent number: 6818115
Abstract: The present invention includes an electrolytic plating system with an elecrolytic plating bath, means for positioning the printed circuit boards in the bath, and means to alternately generate a laminar flow of electrolyte on each side of the printed circuit boards. A preferred means to alternately generate a laminar flow of electolyte comprises a floating shield with a venturi-shaped partition and an aligned partition below the printed circuit boards, and operating a plurality of eductors below the floating shield. The means to alternately generate a laminar flow of electolyte can further comprise a transport mechanism that moves the floating shield and its partitions from side to side relative to the eductors or a mechanism to move the eductors. The plating can be also be improved by using a vibrator and a spring-mounting system that prevents vibration energy being absorbed by fixed portions of the plating system.

  • Patent number: 6490349
Abstract: A telephone scan-dialing arrangement includes a listener module, at least one dialing control module and at least one dialing module, each dialing module being associated with a respective modem. The listener module receives a command to initiate a scan-dialing operation in connection with a profile that identifies, inter alia, telephone numbers to be dialed and operations to be performed during each call and telephone number selection criteria, and provides the identification of the profile to the dialing control module The dialing control module obtains from the profile a set of telephone numbers to be used during the scan-dialing operation and provides the obtained telephone numbers to respective ones of the dialer modules to be dialed for a call, along with information identifying operations to be performed during the call, as each dialer module finishes its previous call.

  • Patent number: 6280365
Abstract: A device for exercising a user's upper body, including a waist mountable assembly secured about the waist of the user, a frame member extending from the belt and including a proximal and a pair of distal ends, wherein the distal ends are located to the rear of the user and below a transverse plane of the user generally including the belt. A flexible cord member is associated with each distal end and coupled to a pair of hand attachment elements. A resistance force is transferred by the cord member for providing a force opposing exercise movement of each hand attachment means during use, the force generally directed to the associated distal end of an extending portion of the frame member during use.
