  • Publication number: 20120244398
Abstract: An energy storage system comprising at least one energy storage module adapted to supply electrical energy to a hybrid vehicle. The energy storage module comprises an enclosure, at least one battery array located within the enclosure, and an energy storage controller module located within the enclosure and electrically connected to the battery array. A high voltage junction box is attached to a first end of the enclosure and having a plurality of high voltage connection terminals connected by a plug-in bussed electrical center configured to reduce the possibility of unintentional grounding or shorting, and decreases the safety risk to a technician during servicing. At least one of the high voltage connection terminals is configured to receive a high voltage conductor connected between the energy storage module and an inverter of the hybrid vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20110173168
Abstract: In response to receiving a request for data stored according to a first version of a data type, a second version of the data type supported by the requester is determined, and the requested data is transformed from the first version to the second version to provide access to the data.

  • Publication number: 20110126119
Abstract: The present invention relates to system and methodology to facilitate context determination of operation of a user device. Based upon the context determination information can be adjusted dynamically to enable all or part of the information to be displayed on the user device in a manner consistent with the determined context. A plurality of monitoring devices provide data regarding operation of the user device. The data can be analyzed to generate a context score from which operation of the user device can be accordingly conducted. Operation of the user device can facilitate inference of current activity, location, etc., of a user operating or employing the user device.

  • Patent number: 5084360
Abstract: A heat sealable polymeric film, heat sealing being provided by a blend of (a) from 25 to 75 percent of propylene/ethylene copolymer containing from 2 to 8 percent by weight of units derived from ethylene, (b) from 1 to 60 percent of but-1-ene/ethylene copolymer containing up to 1 percent by weight of units derived from ethylene, and (c) from 1 to 60 percent of but-1-ene/ethylene copolymer containing from 3 to 10 percent by weight of units derived from ethylene, the percentages of the various copolymers being based on the total weight of the blend. Films of the invention have low heat seal threshold temperatures combined with broad ranges of continuous hot tack.

  • Patent number: 4221010
Abstract: A metering device to provide just the amount of water necessary to insure proper filling of a flush toilet bowl and trap. The metering device operates by means of gravity feed rather than pressure that is presently used which may vary the amount of water going to the trap as supply pressures increase or decrease. The metering device eliminates certain wasted water normally present during flushing and filling of the flush tank. The device in one embodiment includes a metering tank having an inlet connected to the exit sides of flush tank outlet valve. The flush tank outlet valve is connected at the upper side of the metering tank. The metering tank is in fluid communication between the flush tank and the toilet bowl and trap. The metering tank may be located in a plurality of lower positions. When the outlet valve is opened, the metering tank is also opened and filled during the flushing cycle.

  • Patent number: 4017914
Abstract: A metering device for use in a conventional flush toilet having a flush tank for regulating the amount of water utilized in filling the flush bowl and trap of the toilet. The device includes a metering tank disposed in the flush tank which is filled with a fixed volume of water, a first conduit from the flush tank inlet water supply into said metering tank, a second conduit disposed between the metering tank and the overflow tube which is utilized to refill the bowl and trap, and a valve means disposed in said second conduit for regulating the flow of water from the metering tank into the overflow tube. Applicant has determined that the conventional toilet having a flush tank utilizes an excess amount of water which is lost during the flushing action in refilling the flush bowl and trap. The metering tank and valve delays the filling of the flush bowl and trap until after the flushing action is completed and regulates the total amount of water receivable into the trap and bowl.

  • Patent number: 4017912
Abstract: A water closet having two operational modes, one for a partial flush and the other for a full tank flush, utilized in conjunction with a bowl trap fill meter tank which reduces water consumption. A two position actuating linkage utilized in conjunction with an auxiliary float provides positive partial or full tank flush operation dependent upon the directional movement of the flush lever handle by an operator. A bowl trap fill meter tank disposed in the flush tank is utilized for refilling the toilet bowl trap, reducing the amount of excess water normally wasted in conventional flush tanks during flushing and refilling of the tank and bowl.
