    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for secure payment using tokens. Consistent with disclosed embodiments, a token may be used to authenticate a transaction. The token may include token information configured to replace at least a portion of static information required to authenticate a transaction. A financial services system may provide the token to a digital wallet. The digital wallet may communicate the token to a payment application. A user-associated device may implement the digital wallet and a payment device may implement the payment application. The payment application may provide the token information to a merchant system. The merchant system may provide the token information to the financial services system. The financial services system may authenticate the transaction using the token information received from the merchant system. The disclosed methods may further include determining the proximity of the user-associated device and the payment device to authenticate the request for secure payment.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for comparing a first biosequence string with a second biosequence string to assess similarity between those biosequence strings. For example, a field programmable gate array (FPGA) can be used to (1) detect substrings of the second biosequence string that are matches to substrings of the first biosequence string, and (2) map the detected substrings of the second biosequence string to corresponding positions in the first biosequence string where the detected substrings are located based on a data structure that links substrings of the first biosequence string to positions in the first biosequence string where the substrings of the first biosequence string are located. These operations can be used to seed an alignment between the first and second biosequence strings that permits comparisons to be performed over longer substrings of the first and second biosequence strings so that similarities between those longer substrings can be quantified.

    Abstract: A surface attachable washing apparatus enables easy control of water flow through a molded body member. A valve assembly, disposed interiorly within the body member, is actuated by simple depression of an overlying portion of an obverse surface of the molded body member, to toggle a valve assembly between each of a closed position and an open position. Water flow is therefore controllable by manual pressure to alternately emit and prevent water flow sprayed through each of a plurality of outlets. At least one suction cup enables selective positioning of the molded body member upon a surface distally situated relative to an existing water outlet to which the apparatus is connected. A user may therefore position the apparatus at a desired height in the bath room, for example, to correspond with a child who can then easily control of the water flow during bath time.

A proximal arced edge is disposed projected rearwardly from the molded body member and curved downward to direct waterflow away from a user operating the device, particularly when the device is elevated above a user, as when washing a large animal such as a horse, for example. A cable drum cartridge unit is installed in the rear compartment and includes a front opening through which a cable loaded into the drum cartridge unit can be dispended into the bore guide. The cartridge unit is interchangeable and can be exchanged for another one with a different snake cable length. A rotary motor drive unit is mounted to the drill body behind the installed cartridge unit. The motor drive unit engages the loaded, coiled snake cable in a rotary action that induces the cable to unwind and travel through the bore guide where it is dispensed from the drill for cleaning purposes.
