  • Patent number: 12254433
Abstract: Techniques are described for analyzing and presenting alert-based information for an enterprise business. In particular, a central device in a computer system receives alerts from other devices associated with different office branches of the enterprise business, and analyzes the alerts on a periodic schedule. For example, every month, the central device may calculate a weighted alert volume by district based on the risk scores calculated for the office branches within the district, calculate an average weighted alert volume across the entire enterprise, and calculate the standard deviation of the average weighted alert volume to determine the alert risk rating for the district. The central device may also analyze the dispositions of the alerts on the period schedule. For example, the central device may determine coaching rates and/or disposition rates by district. The central device may further output the alert and/or disposition information to users in a simple format.

  • Publication number: 20240412737
Abstract: A sound signal is received from a room of people, the sound signal including speech of a lecturer. A Fourier transform is applied to the sound signal to produce a spectrogram. An encoding of the spectrogram in a multi-dimensional space is computed using an encoder. A seed is found in the multi-dimensional space, where the seed is a position in the multi-dimensional space which encodes a spectrogram from another lecturer known to have performance on an automated speech recognition tool above a threshold. The encoding is modified by moving the location of the encoding in the multi-dimensional space towards the seed. The modified encoding is decoded into a decoded signal. A reverse Fourier transform is applied to the decoded signal to produce an output sound signal. The output sound signal is sent to the automated speech recognition tool to generate a transcript.

  • Publication number: 20230325683
Abstract: Techniques are described for automatically assessing alert risk. An example computing device configured to perform the techniques receives an alert representing a type of abnormal behavior for a user account. The computing device receives a domain knowledge score for the alert, the domain knowledge score representing a qualitative rating assigned by one or more subject matter experts; determines a machine knowledge score for the alert, the machine knowledge score representing a number of positive alerts for the type of abnormal behavior; and calculates an overall score for the alert from the domain knowledge score and the machine knowledge score. The computing device determines whether the overall score indicates that the alert represents a positive alert or a false positive alert for the type of abnormal behavior. The computing device may further output data representative of the alert to a user when the alert is determined to be the positive alert.

  • Patent number: 11715054
Abstract: Techniques are described for automatically generating meta-alerts based on operational and security risk alert volumes for an entity. In particular, a central device receives entity alert information from other devices in a computer system of an enterprise business, which may have office branches that are each staffed by employees. The central device compares alert volumes of a given entity for a given period of time (e.g., a month) to one or more baseline thresholds determined based on the average alert volume of peer entities during the same period of time and the entity's own historical alert volumes to identify spikes or increases in the volume of alerts for the given entity. If the entity is trending high for the period of time, the central device generates a meta-alert to bring awareness to the relatively high volume of alerts identified for that entity.

  • Patent number: 9579574
Abstract: A method of stereoscopic panoramic image capture of a virtual environment is provided. The method includes pausing the state of a virtual environment being implemented by an application. For each of a plurality of positions in the virtual environment, the method includes rendering in turn plural images collectively encompassing a panoramic view. The method also includes capturing in turn each of the plural rendered images and capturing distance data describing the distance between a respective position in the virtual environment and surfaces in the virtual environment visible at that respective position. The plural positions in the virtual environment form vertices of a bounding space within which left and right viewpoints of a stereoscopic image can be formed.

  • Publication number: 20110127299
Abstract: A spreadable food dispensing package is disclosed. An indexed movable wall has a raised portion which extends from an upper surface of the indexed movable wall toward a first end of the dispensing package. As a base is rotated relative to the dispensing package, an indexing mechanism is moved which causes the indexed movable wall to move from a first position proximate the base to a second position which is spaced from the base and from the first end of the dispensing package. This movement causes the raised portion to cooperate with a side wall of the dispensing package to remove the spreadable food from the side wall. The movement also forces the spreadable food to be moved toward the first end of the dispensing package to allow a consumer to easily remove the spreadable food from the dispensing package with a utensil.
