In one embodiment, the systems and methods are for imaging a first barcode having a first barcode format; determining a second barcode format used at a point-of-service; converting the first barcode to a second barcode in the second format; and generating an image of the second barcode.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for validating transactions between a remote merchant system and an end-user terminal. In general, transaction information is received at a service provider regarding a transaction between the merchant system and an end user terminal, that includes transaction instructions on what actions need to be performed by the end user terminal in order for the merchant system to complete the transaction. The service provider generates a token ID that does not include a transaction identification nor a merchant system identification, but is linked to stored transaction instructions. The token ID is received from a remote point-of-sale (POS) terminal with presentment information that is validated against the transaction instructions to complete the transaction.

In general, the systems and methods include: (a) staging a transaction between the merchant-partner and the customer; (b) tokenizing the transaction by linking one or more transaction instructions to a token ID; (c) providing the customer with the token ID, wherein the customer can then present the token ID and a payment to a point-of-sale terminal; (d) receiving confirmation that the customer has presented, to a point-of-sale terminal, the token ID and a payment in accordance with the one or more transaction instructions; (e) notifying the merchant-partner that the customer provided the payment to the point-of-sale terminal; and (f) settling the transaction between the point-of-sale terminal and the merchant-partner.

The systems and methods disclosed generally include: (a) defining terms of a retail promotion; (b) identifying whether a consumer has acted in accordance with the terms of the retail promotion; and (c) authorizing a tender presented by the consumer, based on whether the consumer has acted in accordance with the terms of the retail promotion. The disclosed systems and methods have wide ranging applicability, including (non-exclusively): (1) allowing a brand company to initiate localized promotions at a point-of-sale retailer; (2) allowing a point-of-sale retailer to initiate localized promotions; and/or (3) allowing a point-of-sale retailer to build a customer database and build customer loyalty, without having to make significant changes to their point-of-sale terminal infrastructure.
