• Publication number: 20170132739
Abstract: A computer-implemented crime investigation system having a computer including a processor is operable to: receive and store one or more image data items, each of which shows one or more offenders in the process of committing an offence; authenticate a user belonging to a first access group; receive, via an application interface, case information from said user; attach portions of said case information, as indicated by said user using said application interface, to one or more of said image data items, as also indicated by said user using said application interface; search at least one of: said image data items or said case information based on search parameters; and return one or more search result image data items, having at least one of image data or attached case information which matches said search parameters, together with any of said case information attached to said search result image data items.

• Publication number: 20150174638
Abstract: Tool and method for embossing an artifact into a wall of a three-piece can, wherein a flat sheet or blank(s) of metal is transported along a transport bed (10) by several spaced apart groups of rollers (20, 22, 24), each having a top and a bottom roller. A rotating embossing roller pair (30) is provided between two of the groups of transport rollers, and driven by a servo drive (38). It embosses the artifact (11, 11?) into the flat, transported sheet or blank. The transport rollers, the embossing rollers and the sheet or blank have the same speed at the surface of the blank during embossing the artifact into the blank or sheet, and a length position of the artifact in the sheet or blank is determined, adjusted or corrected by a speed and position control (40) of the servo drive, driving the embossing roller pair (30) and shaping a cylindrical base shape of the can wall (15).

• Publication number: 20080092657
Abstract: The invention relates to a beam former which performs coherent composition of signals originating from a given propagation direction, which are received by an array of N receiving transducers. The inventive methodology and devices are suitable for use in the following fields: radar, sonar, acoustic, seismology, ultrasound imaging (echography and non-destructive testing) and others. According to the invention, the beam former employs arrays having elements which can be distributed randomly. In particular, the invention can be used for dynamic focusing with deflection of the beam in azimuth and elevation, using two-dimensional arrays.

• Publication number: 20060133909
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lock ring having a central body portion with a first end and second end with two legs extending radially from the first end and the second end of the central body portion, wherein each of the two legs has a first axially biased portion and a second axially biased portion relative to a position of the central body portion. Alternative embodiments of the lock ring of the present invention include the lock ring in conjunction with the first axially biased portion and the second axially biased portion being disposed in the same direction, tabs on the central body portion, teeth on the lock ring for engaging corresponding teeth in an annular groove in a lock nut, and a rounded portion at each of the distal ends of the legs. The present invention also relates to an assembly containing the lock ring of the present invention in conjunction with the lock nut as well as methods for preventing the counter-rotation of nuts and/or bolts.

• Patent number: 5880843
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for determining the reflected optical power and the transmitted optical power of a transparent plate, for example the distortion transmitted and the distortion reflected from the surfaces of a glass plate by digital analysis of images in real time. The apparatus including a light source mounted to send a light beam toward a glass plate, at an acute incidence angle regarding the normal of the plate causing in this way a second light beam reflected by the first surface and a third light beam reflected by the second surface of the glass. These reflected beams are directed toward a mirror of first surface which directs the reflected beams toward a light integrating screen and toward a zoom lens to be afterwards directed to a video camera.
