  • Patent number: 11853491
Abstract: A touch display device (TDD) configured to function with a pointing device (PD), and a method of operating the TDD. The TDD has a processor that automatically determines if the PD is in contact with a touch display (TD) of the TDD or with a surface distinct from the TD. When the PD is in contact with the TD, a toggling signal from the PD may be received at the processor to toggle from a first input mode where a tip of the PD overlaps a visual element displayed on the TD, to a second input mode with the tip of the PD is spaced apart from the displayed visual element. When the PD is in contact with the distinct surface, the processor automatically selects a third input mode where a position of the PD on the distinct surface is reproduced as a position the sign on the TD.

  • Patent number: 11538210
Abstract: In aspects of text importance spatial layout, a computing device implements a processing device to receive a text importance vector that includes designations of visual properties for constituent words of a text phrase. Spatial layouts of the text phrase are determined, with each spatial layout being a different displayable representation of the constituent words arranged based on the designations of the visual properties in the text importance vector for each of the constituent words. Feature vectors are generated, each feature vector represents a spatial layout of the text phrase and includes measurement properties of each of the constituent words in the respective spatial layout. The spatial layouts are ranked based on a metric that indicates a degree of similarity of the measurement properties of each of the constituent words in a respective spatial layout matching to the visual properties for the constituent words as designated in the text importance vector.

  • Patent number: 11397864
Abstract: Provided is a system, method, and multi-positional switch using a passive wireless tag to communicate with a wireless tag reader. The wireless tag including: a first set of one or more half-antennas; a second set of one or more half-antennas; and a first set of two or more wireless chips and an electrical contact connected to an open end of each of the wireless chips, each of the wireless chips including data stored thereon, and when one of the electrical contacts completes an antenna circuit including one of the first set of half-antennas and one of the second set of half antennas, the wireless tag reader energizes the completed antenna circuit and the completed antenna circuit transmits the data stored on the wireless chip connected to the electrical contact that is completing the antenna circuit to the wireless tag reader.
