  • Publication number: 20240092179
Abstract: A method including detecting that a vehicle that may be propelled by an electric drive system having one or more motors disconnects or begins disconnecting from an off-board source of power while the one or more motors are being powered by the off-board source of power. The method may include supplanting a decreasing amount of a first electric energy supplied by the off-board source of power to the electric drive system with an amount of a second electric energy supplied by an onboard source of power to the electric drive system responsive to the detection of the disconnect from the off-board source of power.

  • Patent number: 9747329
Abstract: A system and method for limiting access to asset management information is disclosed. According to one embodiment, information is received from a first reporting source about an asset. Information from a second reporting source about the asset is also recited. The information from the first reporting source and the information from the second reporting source is stored in a database such that the information from the first reporting source and the information from the second reporting source can be accessed from the database. A first entity is enabled to access a first subset of the information stored in the database while a second entity is not allowed to access the first subset of the information stored in the database.

  • Patent number: 9720854
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure enable location of a wireless peripheral by a computing device even when the wireless peripheral is beyond a communication range of, or otherwise inaccessible by, the computing device. A user gives a command to a first computing device to determine the location of the wireless peripheral. The first computing device requests other networked computing devices to locate the wireless peripheral. At least one of the other networked computing devices establishes communication with the wireless peripheral, obtains location information for the wireless peripheral, and communicates the location information to the first computing device. The first computing device communicates the location of the wireless peripheral to the user.

  • Patent number: 9519876
Abstract: A method for providing maintenance to an asset is disclosed. In one embodiment, a database having asset information from a plurality of disparate sources is accessed. Asset information in the database is utilized to generate an asset report. The asset report is utilized to track an asset including its location and operation. Scheduling information regarding the asset is utilized such that the manufacturer can provide a scheduled/unscheduled maintenance program for the asset.
