  • Publication number: 20240071593
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Publication number: 20230339444
Abstract: A vehicle includes wheels, brakes to control speeds of the wheels, and a hydraulic fluid source in fluid communication with the brakes. The vehicle includes a computer storing instructions to determine that speeds of the wheels are zero and actuate the hydraulic fluid source to provide hydraulic fluid to a first set of one or more of the brakes at a first pressure sufficient to maintain the vehicle body at a present position and to provide hydraulic fluid at a volumetric rate to one or more of the brakes not in the first set, and, while providing hydraulic fluid at the volumetric rate to a brake not in the first set, detect second pressures of the brake not in the first set. The instructions include instructions to determine a volume-pressure curve for the brake not in the first set based on the volumetric rate and the second pressures.

  • Patent number: 11407308
Abstract: A system includes a differential, sensors, and a controller. The differential is operable in a first differential mode in which a first shaft and a second shaft are allowed to rotate at different speeds, and a second differential mode in which the differential inhibits relative rotation between the first and second shafts. The sensors are configured to measure vehicle operating conditions. The controller is in communication with the sensors and the differential. The controller, when the vehicle mode is selected, is configured to determine if an intended path of the vehicle is straight, determine if a vehicle speed is less than a predetermined vehicle speed, and operate the differential in the second differential mode for a predetermined time period in response to the controller determining that the intended path of the vehicle is straight and the vehicle speed is less than the predetermined vehicle speed.

  • Patent number: 8297717
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to various computer-implemented methods of line-locking a hydraulic vehicle braking system. A method includes performing a preliminary system check and controlling the distribution of fluid between a hydraulic module and an individual wheel-end brake component when the preliminary check is satisfied. The system continues to monitor predetermined vehicle inputs during activation.
