  • Patent number: 10180107
Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more processor-executable instructions wherein the one or more instructions when executed by a processor of a controller, cause acts to be performed is provided. The acts to be performed include controlling a fuel split to a combustor of a gas turbine utilizing automatic tuning and switching control of the fuel split to the combustor of the gas turbine to utilizing an adjusted fixed fuel split schedule instead of automatic tuning. The adjusted fixed fuel split schedule includes a fixed fuel split schedule adjusted via a biasing value, and the biasing value is based on both the fixed fuel split schedule and an automatic tuning based fuel split.

  • Patent number: 10018071
Abstract: In one embodiment, a turbine system includes a number of sensors, each of the number of sensors disposed in a respective location of the turbine system, and a controller including a memory storing one or more processor-executable routines and a processor. The processor configured to access and execute the one or more routines encoded by the memory wherein the one or more routines, when executed cause the processor to receive one or more signals from the number of sensors during any stage of operation of the turbine system, and convert the one or more signals to audio output.

  • Publication number: 20180135456
Abstract: A turbine system includes a number of sensors, each sensor disposed in a respective location of the turbine system and generating a respective signal, a controller capable of generating a controller output, the controller output being at least partially derived from the respective signal from the number of sensors, and an electronic device including memories storing processor-executable routines, and one or more processors configured to access and execute the one or more routines encoded by the one or more memories wherein the one or more routines, when executed, cause the one or more processors to receive one or more inputs, the inputs being at least one of the respective signals from one of the number of sensors, the controller output, or some combination thereof, and generate an audio output using one or more models that incorporate the one or more inputs.

  • Publication number: 20170356650
Abstract: In one embodiment, a turbine system includes a combustion system comprising a plurality of combustion cans, a number of sensors, each of the number of sensors coupled to a respective combustion can of the number of combustion cans, and a controller. The controller includes a memory storing one or more processor-executable routines and a processor configured to access and execute the one or more routines encoded by the memory. The one or more routines, when executed cause the processor to receive one or more signals from the number of sensors, convert the one or more signals to audio output, and output the converted audio output via one or more audio output devices.

  • Publication number: 20170248036
Abstract: A system may include a gas turbine system. The gas turbine system may include a compressor, such that the gas turbine system may produce exhaust gas in an exhaust outlet when generating electricity. The system may also include a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) that may use the exhaust gas to create steam, a manifold system configured to couple compressed air in the compressor to the exhaust outlet, and a controller configured to send a command to the manifold system to couple the compressed air to the exhaust outlet when a temperature of the exhaust gas is above a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20160215685
Abstract: A system includes an internal combustion engine including an intake manifold and a throttle disposed upstream of the intake manifold. The system also includes a turbocharger coupled to the internal combustion engine, wherein the turbocharger includes a turbine and a compressor. The system further includes a wastegate coupled to the turbine. The system yet further includes a controller configured to receive a first signal representative of a compressor discharge pressure from a first sensor and a second signal representative of the intake manifold pressure from a second sensor, to determine a differential pressure across the throttle based on the first and second signals, to determine a position of the wastegate solely based on the differential pressure, and to adjust the wastegate to the position.
