Abstract: A pipe junction includes a corrugated pipe including a pipe wall having an inner pipe wall and an outer pipe wall, the outer pipe wall having a plurality of peaks and a plurality of valleys disposed between the plurality of peaks, and an opening through the pipe wall. The corrugated pipe junction includes a hub and sleeve assembly received within the opening of the pipe wall, the hub and sleeve assembly including a hub received within the sleeve. When the hub and sleeve assembly is received within the opening of the pipe wall, a compressive seal is formed between the hub and sleeve assembly and the inner pipe wall such that the hub and sleeve assembly is sealingly engaged with the inner pipe wall around an entire circumference of the hub and sleeve assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240081440
Abstract: Improved personal protective equipment facial wear including, in one embodiment, an at least partly adhesive mask, and one or more adhesive eye shields. In one implementation, the mask avoids significant contact with the delicate periorbital skin of the wearer, yet provides a substantially airtight seal so as to preclude moisture vapor transfer and “fogging” of eyeware or instruments. In another implementation, adherence of the eye shield is at least partially overlapping with the mask and creates an at least partial seal around a perimeter of the eye shield. Further, an at least partial seal is formed around a perimeter of the mask. The mask and eye shield additionally prevent nasal air flow obstruction, and address the problem of skin irritation and attachment during normal facial expression and movement of the wearer.

  • Publication number: 20240089106
Abstract: A computer-implemented method to generate a unidirectional commitment channel to send one or more tokens from a sender node to a recipient node using a blockchain is disclosed. The method is implemented by a processing resource that performs steps comprising: generating a first commitment transaction representing a commitment component in which a specified set of tokens is sent or committed for transfer from the first node to the second node; generating a return transaction which returns all tokens from the second node to the first node; signing the return transaction and, based on the signing of the return transaction, signing the commitment transaction; creating one or more further return transactions to reflect the transfer of tokens being made off the blockchain.

  • Publication number: 20240089111
Abstract: In one general embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes performing a firmware update on a hardware component of a computer system. A hash value associated with the update of the firmware is collected, and added to Platform Control Registers (PCRs) of multiple Trusted Platform Module (TPMs) of the computer system. The hash value is logged in a log file. At a predetermined time, PCR values are received from the TPMs. The PCR values are compared to determine whether all PCR values match. In response to one of the PCR values not matching, a warning is issued.

  • Publication number: 20240080312
Abstract: Aspects of subject technology provide systems and methods for generation and distribution of a stable identifier associated with multiple aliases of a user account. The stable identifier may be provided to various electronic devices by a server, responsive to requests associated with communications to those devices from one of the associated aliases. In this way, messaging applications can utilize the stable identifier to merge conversations from a single user having multiple aliases, and secure access to a secure device can be provided to an authorized user, even if the authorized user attempts access from an unauthorized account alias.

  • Publication number: 20240076932
Abstract: Hinged safety gates and methods for controlling access to an elevated work surface are disclosed. The hinged safety gate can include a gate frame and a retainer assembly. The gate frame can have a distal upright member, an upper cross-arm, and a lower cross-arm. The upper cross-arm can have an upper cross-arm height (or vertical dimension), and the lower cross-arm can have a lower cross-arm height. The hinged safety gate can have a retainer assembly that is configured to be attached to a proximal end of the gate frame and to hingedly couple the gate frame to a stationary vertical surface, permitting the gate frame to swing between an open and a closed position. Some embodiments satisfy various spatial safety requirements with only two cross-arms. Some embodiments are horizontally adjustable in two different manners to accommodate a range of access area widths.

  • Publication number: 20240074905
Abstract: Apparatus for protection of the ear and ear canal, and related methods of use and operation. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a selectively actuated valve which permits a varying or modulated size of aperture to be created by the wearer while the apparatus is in use, so as to accommodate varying functions, such as complete occlusion (e.g., for use in swimming or other acquatic activities such that water can be completely excluded) or partial occlusion (e.g., such that sounds can be heard by the wearer, whether in air or under water). In one implementation, the apparatus is retained within the ear canal of the wearer by virtue of the apparatus' shape and coordination with one or more natural features or contours of the anatomy in the ear region, without having to be inserted more than superficially into the outer portion of the ear canal.
