  • Patent number: 10502190
Abstract: A support structure of a wind turbine and a method of manufacturing the support structure is provided. A support structure of a wind turbine is disclosed, whereby the support structure includes a first end to connect to a rotor of a wind turbine, and a second end to be connected to a tower of a wind turbine. The support structure includes an intermediate part that connects the first end to the second end, and that the intermediate part includes the form of an elbow-shaped tube. The support structure is divided into at least two segments whereby the segments are transportable individually from a manufacturing site to a construction site. The segments are connectable in a way that the support structure is capable of transferring forces from the rotor to the tower.

  • Patent number: 9234505
Abstract: A liquid damper in a wind turbine is provided. A damper system of a direct driven wind turbine is disclosed, whereby the wind turbine comprises a nacelle, a rotor hub and an electric generator. The electric generator comprises a rotor and a non-rotating part. The rotor hub is connected to the rotor of the electric generator. The non-rotating part of the generator is connected to the nacelle. The wind turbine comprises a damper system to at least partially eliminate an unwanted movement of the wind turbine resulting from wind loads, whereby the damper system comprises a liquid damper. The damper system is arranged at a non-rotating part of the electric generator.

  • Publication number: 20150204308
Abstract: A component for a brake system for a wind turbine generator is provided. The generator including a stator assembly, a rotor assembly and a rotation axis, wherein the rotor assembly includes an outer portion which is located radially outward of the stator assembly is provided. The component has the shape of a ring and includes a means for connecting it to a flange of the stator assembly. The component further includes a number of radially outwardly protruding portions including a means for connecting the radially outwardly protruding portions to frictional members operatively configured for frictionally engaging at least a portion of a brake disc and/or for connecting the radially outwardly protruding portions to a rotor lock system.
