    Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, apparatuses, devices, and methods for surveillance. In at least some embodiments, a surveillance unit is disclosed that is configured to function as a stand-alone detection and/or surveillance unit; that is, it functions without a network or external power. The surveillance unit may be configured to detect and/or surveil vehicles, including vehicles without license plates (e.g., motorcycles or motorbikes without license plates displayed in the front of the motorcycle or motorbike, respectively. The surveillance unit may further be configured to save and/or store one or more images of one or more detected and/or surveilled vehicles (e.g., a specific motorcycle or motorbike) at selected frames over time and compare the one or more images to one or more previously-taken images for similarity.
