Abstract: A luminaire housing comprising a base component defining a first cavity, the first cavity corresponding to a control gear housing for accommodating luminaire control gear; a lighting sub-assembly securable to the base component so as to cover and enclose the first cavity, the lighting sub-assembly comprising an intermediate plate carrying lighting elements, a cover, and a first seal arrangement between the cover and the intermediate plate so as to define a sealed lighting sub-assembly; and a second seal arrangement between the lighting sub-assembly and the base component, wherein the base component includes at least one mounting formation outside the first cavity and the lighting sub-assembly, to enable the luminaire housing to be fitted to a supporting structure, so as to prevent the ingress of moisture and other contaminants into the first cavity and the lighting sub-assembly.

Abstract: A luminaire housing arrangement comprising a luminaire housing that can accommodate a first electrical connector within the housing, which in turn can be connected to electronic components arid lighting elements within the housing. A connector interface is secured to the luminaire housing, and comprises a first mechanical connector arrangement. The arrangement further includes a supply box for accommodating a second electrical connector which is connected or connectable to a power supply cable, the supply box further comprising a second mechanical connector arrangement to engage the first mechanical connector arrangement, so as to mechanically secure the connector interface, and thus the luminaire housing, and the supply box together, in use.
