  • Publication number: 20250308488
Abstract: A bridge (101) for a stringed instrument (100) has a bridge chassis (200) and at least one saddle (202). The saddle (202) allows adjustment of string height and intonation. In order to achieve this, a height adjustment fixing (414) and an intonation locking fixing (404) are manipulable to urge the saddle element (410?) against an interfacing wedge (412) in respective different directions to lock the saddle element (410?) in a desired position against the interfacing wedge (412).

  • Publication number: 20230360464
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of eliminating waste in the delivery of a metered amount of bulk food from a manufacturing outlet to a customer in a delivery area. One or more stand-alone micro-retail units may be sited at outdoor locations in the delivery area and may each comprise a weatherproof housing sheltering multiple food silos. Each food silo may store an intermediate capacity of the bulk food item and be configured to dispense the metered amount through a silo output and through a food dispenser. A refill hatch may be disposed in a wall of the housing above and for each silo, connecting to an inlet of the silo. A vending interface of the retail unit may alert the manufacturing outlet, by a level indicator, of a low storage level of the dry food item and thereby trigger a delivery of the bulk food in an intermediate bulk compartment.

  • Patent number: 8843472
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for efficiently searching a database for data associated with a key value that is unidentifiable in a set of nodes of the database. A request is received to retrieve data from the database, where the request specifies a searched-for key value that is unidentifiable in the set of nodes of the database. The data associated with the searched-for key value is identified in a lowest level node of the database between a current leftmost node and a current rightmost node. A key index is updated in at least one node of the database with the key index value associated with the data and identified from the lowest level node thereby making the searched-for key value identifiable within the at least one node. The data associated with the searched-for key value is then returned to a user.

  • Patent number: 8528903
Abstract: A method and device for determining the secondary attributes of a symbol by chance comprising a holder having a partition, relatively short magnets, and an elongated magnet. The relatively short magnets have a smaller length than the elongated magnet. The I-Ching is consulted by placing two relatively short magnets in a random position on a first compartment of the holder and the elongated magnet is retained on a retaining surface in the second compartment of the holder. The sides of each of the relatively short magnets adjacent the elongated magnet and the sides of each of the relatively short magnets adjacent each other form three pairs of interacting magnetic poles. The user assigns a predetermined state to each of the eight magnetic interactions, records the state represented by the magnetic interaction, and repeats these steps until one or more I-Ching hexagrams are constructed.

  • Patent number: 7766336
Abstract: A portable game set comprising a game board constructed out of corrugated paper board having indicia thereon representing a game board and having slits on each position for receiving a game piece. The game pieces are rectangular and made of a transparent material so that the indicia indicating the game pieces is visible on both sides of the board. The corrugated paper board applies a large amount of pressure on the portion of the game pieces and has a highly frictional surface to securely retain the game pieces within the slits. The corrugated paper board rigidly holds the game pieces in the slits allowing the game to be played during a windy day or in turbulence. When the game pieces are inserted into the slits the game pieces vertically extend approximately 90 degrees with respect to the board thereby providing an improved appearance.

  • Publication number: 20100075566
Abstract: A self-storing toy kit having a container that serves as the main body of the toy and adorning inserts that are secured to the main body. The main body has a plurality of walls that define an interior storage compartment for holding the adorning inserts. The walls have narrow slits on its exterior surface for receiving adorning inserts. The adorning inserts are dimensioned to fit tightly within the slits of the main body to ensure secure retention of the adorning inserts. The adorning inserts have a distal end that is resilient and a body that is flexible to allow the adorning inserts to cantilever from the slits. The main body has closing means for the interior storage compartment. The compartment allows for storage of the adorning inserts within the main body and eliminates the need for a separate carrying case for the adorning inserts.
