  • Patent number: 12601629
Abstract: Technologies are described for devices to monitor a machine. The devices may comprise a battery pack module including a battery pack housing and a sensor module including a sensor module housing and a circuit board. The circuit board may include a substrate, a vibration sensor, a temperature sensor, a motor flux sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, and a processor. The vibration sensor may produce a vibration signal relating to vibration of the machine. The temperature sensor may produce a temperature signal relating to a temperature detected. The motor flux sensor may produce a motor flux signal relating to an amount of motor flux emitted by the machine. The ultrasonic sensor may produce an ultrasonic signal relating to ultrasonic waves reflected back from the machine. The processor may be in communication with the vibration sensor, the temperature sensor, the motor flux sensor, and the ultrasonic sensor.

  • Patent number: 11378491
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for an integrated monitoring system to monitor several operational aspects of a bearing assembly, analyze monitored aspects, provide predictions, alerts, and reports based on general equipment data or specific rotating machine data. A number of sensors in and on a bearing housing may sense a variety of operational aspects and provide input to a local or remote monitoring device. The bearing housing may include sensor mounting locations for one or more sensors. In some examples, an oil level sensor placed in a suitable mounting location on the bearing housing may detect oil levels inside the bearing housing. The monitoring device may analyze the sensor inputs in light of other information such as historic performance data, environmental information, etc. Reports, predictions, alerts, and/or suggested corrective actions may be generated based on the analysis by the monitoring device and/or remote devices communicatively coupled to the monitoring device.

  • Patent number: 11328581
Abstract: A system for performing sensor data analytics for equipment diagnostics featuring an alarm signature and diagnostic detector having a signal processor configured to receive signaling containing information about an alarm signature for sensed data that is time-stamped for captured alarm signature parameters in order to monitor rotary equipment, and also about diagnostic detector signatures for diagnostic detectors related to alarm conditions for the rotary equipment; and determine corresponding signaling containing information about an alarm diagnosis based upon a match between the alarm signature and one of the diagnostic detector signatures contained in the signaling received.

  • Publication number: 20050252205
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling the operation of a pump, such as a centrifugal pump, featuring steps of either adjusting the operation of the pump, or issues a warning to a user of the pump of an undesirable operating condition, or both, based on a comparison of an actual torque value and a corrected torque value either alone or in combination with a further step of compensating the corrected torque value based on a mechanical power offset correction. The corrected torque value may include a Best Efficiency Point (BEP) torque value and may also be compensated for based on at least the current operating speed of the pump. The pump has a controller for performing the steps of the method. The controller can compensate the corrected torque value based on the square of the speed change of the pump.
