  • Publication number: 20130225376
Abstract: The present invention provides an elastic tubing exercise device comprising a length of elastic exercise tubing having two ends, and a spooling mechanism secured to at least one end of said tubing. The spooling mechanism is secured at least partially within a handle that has a hand grip and housing portion. And the housing portion is sufficient to securely house the spooling mechanism. The spooling mechanism further comprises a lock. The lock releasably engages the exterior of the housing of the handle, such that when the lock is engaged, the spooling mechanism is prevented from rotating, thereby securing the tubing at a fixed length.

  • Publication number: 20130196831
Abstract: The present invention provides a door-frame-mountable exercise strap, which includes a strap having a first connecting end and a second end, and a plurality of anchors. Said first connecting end is adapted to be connected to a piece of exercise equipment and the plurality of anchors are spaced along the exercise strap between said first connecting end and said second end. An exercise device is secured to the connecting end of the strap. The exercise device includes a plurality of elastic resistance tubes, each of said resistance tubes having a first end and a second clasp end. The first end of each of the resistance tubes is secured to the first connecting end of the strap. The second clasp-end of each of the resistance tubes is secured to a clasp, and each of said clasps is releasably attachable to an exercise handle.

  • Publication number: 20130066591
Abstract: A portable personal electronic pedometer, including a display, a storage memory, an input-mode, a pace-mode, and a workout-mode. The input mode allows a user to enter personal information including at least the user's weight and either the user's height or stride-length, which is saved in the pedometer's storage memory. The pace-mode activates the pedometer and employs at least one algorithm to record the average pace and the pedometer's storage memory can concurrently store at least two average pace calculations on the pedometer. The workout-mode allows the user to select any average target pace stored in the storage memory, and said workout-mode employs at least one algorithm to calculate and display the duration of the workout based on the user's selected target pace and the user's weight, and while in work-out mode the pedometer continually updates the display showing the time remaining, and the pace of the current workout.

  • Publication number: 20110190098
Abstract: An exercise device, including a telescoping door-frame-mountable exercise bar having a first and second end, each end having an end-cap, each of said end-caps having an outward facing frictional surface, and at least one of said end-caps containing an interior cam mechanism. Said cam mechanism including a cam wedge with a pivot end and a curved end, wherein said pivot end is pivotably secured to one end of the bar at a pivot point, and said curved end is directed outwards from said pivot point towards the interior side of the flat frictional surface of the end-cap. Said cam wedge having a radial length measured by the distance between the cam wedge's pivot point and its curved end, wherein said radial length is shortest along the central horizontal axis of the cam wedge and increases in length as the radial axis is angled upwards or downwards along the curved end on the cam wedge.
