  • Publication number: 20240093221
Abstract: This disclosure provides recombinant DNA constructs and transgenic plants having enhanced traits such as increased yield, increased nitrogen use efficiency, and enhanced drought tolerance or water use efficiency. Transgenic plants may include field crops as well as plant propagules and progeny of such transgenic plants. Methods of making and using such transgenic plants are also provided. This disclosure also provides methods of producing seed from such transgenic plants, growing such seed, and selecting progeny plants with enhanced traits. Also disclosed are transgenic plants with altered phenotypes which are useful for screening and selecting transgenic events for the desired enhanced trait.

  • Patent number: 7309076
Abstract: A hitch assembly to be connected between a tow vehicle and a trailer includes a first shaft adapted to be attached to said tow vehicle, the first shaft being stationary with respect to the tow vehicle, a second shaft for mounting a ball to accept the trailer and being rotatable about the first shaft, wherein the first shaft and the second shaft are rotatable connected to rotate with respect to each other. A hitch assembly adapted to be connected between the tow vehicle and the trailer additionally includes a first shaft adapted to be attached to the tow vehicle, the first shaft being at a fixed relationship with respect to the tow vehicle and to rotate about an axis of the first shaft and a second shaft for mounting a ball to accept said trailer and being rotatable about the first shaft.

  • Patent number: 5251249
Abstract: A method of enhancing an existing cellular network is described such that a new system can operate in tandem with an existing cellular network without disrupting service to existing subscribers and without requiring the replacement of existing equipment. In particular, this is achieved by giving control of all dedicated control channels (CCHs) in each cell to a second switch. The second switch thereby is provided with the control of call set-ups, thus providing for more than one category of mobile subscriber. Some subscribers can be serviced by the existing switch and others by the second switch.

  • Patent number: 5208847
Abstract: A method of capping an existing cellular network such that a new system can operate in tandem with an existing cellular network without disrupting service to existing subscribers and without requiring the replacement of existing equipment. The second switch thereby is provided with the control of call setups, thus providing for more than one category of mobile subscriber. • Patent number: 4752923
Abstract: In order to multiplex a plurality of various rate subchannels onto a fixed rate channel, a frame structure is defined consisting of j tuples of bits. Some of the tuples are i bits long and some are less than i, the sum of the bits less than i in these tuples being equal to k where k is greater than or equal to zero. The total number of bits per frame is thus equal to ij-k where i, j and k are mathematically determined as a function of the rates of the subchannels and the rate of the fixed channel. In one tuple of i bits in each frame, all bits are set ZERO. In each other tuple, the last bit is set ONE. Framing is detected by monitoring for a ONE followed by i ZEROes a pattern which cannot occur elsewhere in the frame regardless of the data. This frame arrangement can yield shorter frames than the frame structure disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 4,617,658, thus decreasing reframe time.
