  • Patent number: 9533186
Abstract: An optimal bicycle frame size and configuration is determined based on operational characteristics provided by a rider when riding an adjustable stationary bicycle. An optimal motorcycle and motorcycle configuration is determined based on characteristics of the rider when riding an adjustable stationary motorcycle. A camera system can be used to collect anthropomorphic data about the rider to establish an initial positioning of the components of the adjustable vehicle. The camera system can also be used to collect real-time information about the rider's body positioning so as to cause adjustment of the positioning of the components of the adjustable vehicle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 19, 2014
Date of Patent: January 3, 2017
    Assignee: Cycling Sports Group, Inc.
Inventors: Morten Kristiansen, Daniel L. Connors, Christopher Kautz, Scott Alan Rice

Abstract: An optimal configuration is determined based on operational characteristics of an operator when operating an adjustable stationary vehicle. A camera system is used to collect anthropomorphic data about the operator to establish an initial positioning of the components of the adjustable stationary vehicle. The camera system can also be used to collect real-time information about the operator's body positioning so as to cause adjustment of the positioning of the components of the adjustable stationary vehicle while being operated.
