  • Publication number: 20200229050
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for network-controlled UE filtering of detected cell reporting. The network instructs currently-connected UEs to only report neighboring cells that meet network-defined mobility filtering criteria and, in some embodiments, additional non-mobility filtering criteria. In response to receiving such instructions from the network, the UEs will apply the filtering criteria to at least the data associated with neighboring cells and, in some embodiments, data of the UE to determine which of the neighboring cells meet the filtering criteria. Once the UEs have determined that one or more neighboring cells meets the filtering criteria, the UEs communicate a detected cell report back to the network, which, according to specific embodiments of the invention, may be limited to identification of the neighboring cells that meet the mobility filtering criteria and, in some embodiments, additional non-mobility filtering criteria.

  • Publication number: 20200213948
Abstract: A method for monitoring wireless data communication by a user equipment connected to a wireless data network is disclosed. The method, which is performed by the user equipment, comprises the a) receiving at least one signal, wherein the at least one signal comprises at least one characteristic of a wake-up signal, b) determining whether the at least one signal is a wake-up signal or a false alarm wake-up signal, and c) reporting, based on said determining, information on the at least one signal to the wireless data network.

  • Publication number: 20200196380
Abstract: A communication device (130) receives at least one downlink signal (4021) transmitted by a base station (112) of a network while operating in a disconnected mode in which a data connection is not set up. The communication device determines a receive property of the at least one downlink signal and transmits an uplink report signal (4022) indicative of the receive property.

  • Publication number: 20200059901
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for allocating radio resources in a wireless communication system (100). According to the method, at a base station (101), a first radio resource for a communication between the base station (101) and a relaying device (104) is determined. The relaying device (104) is configured to relay information between the base station (101) and at least one communication device (301) of the wireless communication system (100) located within a wireless communication range of the relaying device (104). Furthermore, a second radio resource for a communication between the relaying device (104) and the at least one communication device (301) is determined at the base station (101). A message (503) is transmitted from the base station (101) to the relaying device (104). The message (503) comprises information indicating the first radio resource and information indicating the second radio resource.

  • Patent number: 9723451
Abstract: The present application relates to a method for providing location information of a terminal (30) and in a communication network (10). According to the method, a location information indicating a location of the terminal (30) in the communication network (10) is determined by the terminal (30). Furthermore, a time information indicating a time at which the terminal (30) is located at the location indicated by the location information is determined by the terminal (30). The location information and time information is transmitted by the terminal (30) to a base station (20) or to another terminal (30) of the communication network (10).
