  • Patent number: 11848081
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for monitoring models for bias. In one implementation, a system for automatically assessing a deployed model for selection of a cohort may include a processing device programmed to: apply the deployed model to data representing a first plurality of individuals, the data including at least one characteristic of the first plurality of individuals; based on the application, select a subset of the first plurality of individuals as a cohort; receive data representing a second plurality of individuals labeled as within the cohort, the data including the at least one characteristic of the second plurality of individuals; compare the selected subset and the second plurality of individuals along the at least one characteristic; and determine whether the comparison results in a difference between the selected subset and the second plurality of individuals greater than a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20230343421
Abstract: A centralized platform for management of substance abuse treatment programs is disclosed. The platform tracks recovery user status across a plurality of third party entities, including treatment entities, healthcare entities, government-mandated programs, and employment-related entities. The user and one or more third party entities may be provided with a set of user interfaces for tracking progress through various treatment phases, and presented with verifiable certification of completion that is coordinated across the third party entities. In some example aspects, the recovery user may be qualified, upon completion of predetermined recovery and treatment program criteria and other training criteria, as a peer recovery specialist. In such instances, the centralized platform may enable the recovery user to be presented as a contact for other, subsequent recovery users to work with in completing various recovery programs.

  • Publication number: 20230085322
Abstract: A pipe processing tool that is configured to deform the end of a pipe so that the circumferential shape of the end of the pipe generally matches the circumferential shape of an adjacent pipe end. Matching the circumferential shapes of the pipe ends is advantageous during a pipe attachment process. The pipe processing tool can include a deformation ring with a plurality of pipe deformation members. Each pipe deformation member faces radially inward and is actuatable in a radial direction toward and away from the center of the deformation ring in order to permit engagement with the pipe. Each pipe deformation member is individually and separately actuatable from the other pipe deformation members so that the circumferential shapes of the pipes can be altered by controlling suitable ones of the pipe deformation members.

  • Patent number: 11498007
Abstract: A technique for analyzing data in order to detect issues within a cloud-based service is disclosed. Host computing devices in a data center launch virtual machines, where at least some virtual machines run a pipelined stack for a streaming service. Virtual machines in the host computing devices generate event data including timestamps. Metadata generated by the pipelined stack during each streaming session is analyzed to identify deadzones in the corresponding host computing device, and the event data is processed to identify potential root causes of the corresponding deadzones. The event data can be generated by the virtual machine hosting the streaming service or by different virtual machines on the same host computing device. A distribution of events of each event type relative to the identified deadzones is determined and an operation of the host computing device can be adjusted based on the distribution.

  • Publication number: 20220043731
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to identify a cause of a performance regression in a web-based service. In at least one embodiment, a cause of a performance regression is identified by comparing performance metrics associated with a first group of user interactions with a web-based service to performance metrics associated with a second group of user interactions with the web-based service.

  • Patent number: 11208859
Abstract: A pit pump of a drilling fluid recycling system where the pit pump is driven by a liquid cooled electric drive motor that is cooled by a cooling liquid. The pit pump can stay submerged in the used drilling fluid within the pit indefinitely since the pit pump does not require cleaning to remove caked on drilling fluid to prevent overheating of the electric drive motor since the cooling liquid cools the electric drive motor. This reduces or eliminates the need to remove the pit pump from the pit for servicing. The electric drive motor can also be reversible to reverse the rotation direction of the pit pump. Further, the pit pump can include its own controller, located within the pit or outside the pit, connected to various sensors that can be used for health monitoring of the pit pump and controlling operation of the pit pump.

  • Patent number: 11165848
Abstract: A technique for evaluating qualitative streaming experience using session performance metadata is disclosed herein. A pipeline of a streaming service can be adapted to collect metadata, such as timestamps, from various components of the pipeline. The metadata can then be analyzed to calculate an objective quality metric for each streaming session using weighted scores derived from the metadata for a plurality of different components including, but not limited to, stutter, latency, and/or picture quality. The quality metric is designed to have high correlation with subjective measures of quality by users of the streaming service, but provides dense data samples compared to typical sparse responses collected from user feedback (e.g., user surveys). The objective quality metric can be utilized to quickly adjust, either manually or automatically, the streaming service parameters to improve the quality of the streaming service due to changes in, e.g., streaming content.

  • Patent number: 10661397
Abstract: An attachment that is configured for attachment to an arm of a piece of construction equipment. The attachment includes a pair of grapple mechanisms mounted on a main beam. Each grapple mechanism includes opposing grab arms mounted to a grab arm housing. The grab arm housings of the grapple mechanisms are each individually adjustable separate from one another relative to the main beam in one or more directions generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the main beam. The attachment can fine adjust the positions of the pipe ends relative to one another until the ends align with each other, at which point the pipe ends can be welded or otherwise secured to each other while being held in position by the grapple mechanisms.
