An example method begins with receiving (2010) a downlink signal comprising an enhanced control region consisting of at least two sets of physical resource block (PRB) pairs. The method continues with the forming (2020) of one or more distributed enhanced control-channel elements (eCCEs) from a first set of PRB pairs by aggregating physical layer building blocks from multiple PRB pairs to form each distributed eCCE. One or more localized eCCEs are formed (2030) from a second set of PRB pairs by aggregating physical layer building blocks such that each of the localized eCCEs is formed from physical layer building blocks from within a single PRB pair of the second set. Control channel message candidates are formed (2050) from the distributed eCCEs and localized eCCEs, respectively, and decoded (2060).

Downlink control information (DCI) is received in a downlink subframe via an Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (ePDCCH). A resource index for a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource is determined, based on the lowest enhanced Control Channel Element(eCCE) index of the received DCI, a device-specific offset value, and an index i that identifies the downlink subframe in a pre-determined set of one or more downlink subframes associated with an uplink subframe. The PUCCH resource is determined according to a formula that results in a sequential allocation of PUCCH resources in the uplink subframe with respect to the downlink subframes associated with the uplink subframe, for each of a plurality of sets of ePDCCH resources. HARQ feedback is transmitted in the uplink subframe, in the indexed PUCCH resource.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to a peak reduction circuit and method for reducing peaks by identifying peak sample values exceeding a pre-set threshold value in an aggregated baseband carrier signal and determining a maximum peak sample by detecting its maximum peak absolute value and phase. A search is performed a pre-determined search length beyond an identified peak. A stored, predetermined filter impulse response based on the carrier passband configuration is retrieved and its amplitude and phase of the predetermined filter impulse response is adjusted by means of the phase and absolute value of the determined maximum peak sample. Finally, the aggregated baseband carrier signal and the adjusted predetermined filter impulse response are combined by synchronizing their maximum peaks and their opposite phase values for adjusting the aggregated baseband carrier signal to said pre-set threshold value.

The RBS retrieves the RS transmission bandwidth, determines a RS measurement bandwidth based on this RS transmission bandwidth, and transmits the determined bandwidth to the UE.
