  • Publication number: 20210118444
Abstract: A method includes receiving an utterance at a computerized automated assistant system, and detecting, via a date/time constraint module of the computerized automated assistant system, one or more constraints in the utterance associated with a date or time. The utterance is associated with a domain. The method further comprises generating, via the date/time constraint module, a periodic set for each of the one or more constraints associated with the date or time, and combining, via the date/time constraint module, the one or more periodic sets. The method further comprises processing, via a dialogue manager module of the computerized automated assistant system, the combined periodic sets to determine an action, and executing the action at the computerized automated assistant system.

  • Publication number: 20210120582
Abstract: A system and method dynamically schedule wireless transmissions without collision. A master transmitter periodically transmits a time mark during a first predefined time slot of a plurality of consecutive time slots that form a transmission block. Multiple consecutive transmission blocks form a frame. An announcement transmission from a wireless transmitting device is received via at least one receiver during a second predefined time slot of the plurality of time slots. An allocator allocates, at least partly based upon the received announcement transmission, a third time slot of the plurality of time slots to the wireless transmitting device. A time slot reservation area of at least one subsequently transmitted time mark includes indication of the allocation of the third time slot to the wireless transmitting device. The wireless transmitting device receives the subsequently transmitted time mark and transmits only during the third time slot of subsequent frames.

  • Publication number: 20210108653
Abstract: A ducted fan is provided including a fan casing surrounding a plurality of fan blades mounted to a rotating drive shaft. The plurality of blades define a tip stagger angle of greater than 68 degrees and the fan casing defines an annular recess defined by an inner wall of the fan casing, the annular recess extending about the circumferential direction proximate a blade tip of each of the plurality of blades. The annular recess may define an average recess depth greater than 10 percent of the tip chord length. The annular recess may also define a length ratio equal to a recess length over the tip axial chord length that is greater than 1.5.

  • Patent number: 10957314
Abstract: A system that provides a sharable language interface for implementing automated assistants in new domains and applications. A dialogue assistant that is trained in a first domain can receive a specification in a second domain. The specification can include language structure data such as schemas, recognizers, resolvers, constraints and invariants, actions, language hints, generation template, and other data. The specification data is applied to the automated assistant to enable the automated assistant to provide interactive dialogue with a user in a second domain associated with the received specification. In some instances, portions of the specification may be automatically mapped to portions of the first domain. By having the ability to learn new domains and applications through receipt of objects and properties rather than retooling the interface entirely, the present system is much more efficient at learning how to provide interactive dialogue in new domains than previous systems.

  • Patent number: 10933550
Abstract: Size-reduction units, size-reduction machines, and methods capable of producing size-reduced products from a variety of solid and semisolid materials. A size-reduction unit includes a circular cutter adapted and arranged to cut a product into strips, a rotating cross-cutter adapted and arranged to receive the strips from the circular cutter, and a stripper plate. The cross-cutter has knives with cutting edges that are adapted and arranged to cut the strips into a size-reduced product, and the stripper plate defines a shear edge in proximity to the cutting edge of each knife of the cross-cutter as its cutting edge encounter the shear edge during rotation of the cross-cutter. The cross-cutter has a helical fluted shape comprising flutes between adjacent pairs of the knives.

  • Patent number: 10857346
Abstract: The breakaway assembly includes a first breakaway subassembly and a second breakaway subassembly. The subassemblies are configured to connect, which causes bellows sheaths in each subassembly to compress and open pores, allowing fluid to flow through the subassemblies. The subassemblies can be connected to luer tip. The luer tips can be connected to an intravenous (IV) fluid line or other types of lines used in the medical field to move fluids. This allows the movement of fluid from a fluid-holding component to a patient. Unless the subassemblies are locked together, the subassemblies will be disconnected under the correct amount of pressure. This disconnection closes the pores on the subassemblies, which keeps fluid from leaking, and prevents the contamination of the IV line. Luer tips may also be connected to the subassemblies. Some of the luer tips allow for the quick connection of the luer tip to the subassembly through a flange being inserted into a notch or flange acceptor.

  • Publication number: 20200327629
Abstract: The present invention envisions a comprehensive platform (the “IPWe Platform”) that utilizes blockchain and smart contracts to address and improve upon the significant deficiencies that currently exist in the global IP market (patents, trademarks, copyrights, etc.). The objective of the IPWe Platform is creating transparency in (i) patent ownership, (ii) patent identification and (iii) patent coverage and value. By eliminating the current inefficiencies that exist in the patent market, IPWe seeks to reduce the liquidity discount currently associated with the patent asset class. IPWe will transform the patent market by initially making available a transparent immutable and distributed ownership ledger for patents (the “IPWe Registry”) that will serve as the basis for the IPWe Platform that will increase liquidity and facilitate transaction gains in the patent asset class.

  • Publication number: 20200286196
Abstract: The invention is a decentralized and autonomous market for intellectual property financing. Through the use of a blockchain network and complex algorithms, the platform will allow intellectual property owners to present their registrations and secure funding based on the strength of their intellectual property assets. Importantly, the system can use historical data to provide complex metrics to both investors and business owners and reduce the risks associated with such a relationship.

  • Patent number: 10762892
Abstract: A method for a dialogue system includes establishing a dialogue session between an application executing on a server and a remote machine. The dialogue session includes one or more utterances received from a user at the remote machine. A natural language processing machine identifies a request associated with a computer-readable representation of an utterance. A dialogue expansion machine generates a plurality of alternative actions for responding to the request. A previously-trained machine learning confidence model assesses a confidence score for each alternative. If a highest confidence score for a top alternative does not satisfy a threshold, the plurality of alternatives including the top alternative are transmitted to a remote machine (which may be the same remote machine or a different remote machine) for review by a human reviewer. After the dialogue system and/or the human reviewer select an alternative, computer-readable instructions defining the selected alternative are executed.

  • Publication number: 20200250776
Abstract: The analytics embodiment uses artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, predictive analytics and computerized analytics. The analytics embodiment generates patent analytics and intelligence to analyze and value patents. The analytics embodiment can have smartphone applications. Smartphone applications can provide notifications, alerts, reminders, etc. Smartphone applications can include key features, including navigation tools. The analytics embodiment can have a social media feature, so users can connect with each other (as in Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and/or follow other users (like in Twitter, LinkedIn and Medium). The analytics embodiment will facilitate crowdsource functionality for validity, relevance and valuation. A corresponding IP platform could allow startups to partner with big companies, to get mentorship and industry partnerships. This can help the startups with connections and eventually get acquired. This is common at incubators/accelerators.

  • Publication number: 20200250779
Abstract: Using the private blockchain, the present invention will permit simultaneous cooperation between multiple, worldwide Patent Offices when reviewing patent applications by having a single repository for 1. prior art submitted by the applicant; 2. prior art identified by the various examiners at the NPOs; and 3. third parties. All prior art for a given patent in examination is stored in one repository (such as provided by the present invention) and it is (at first) controlled by cooperating national patent Offices. The repository can be controlled by other parties that are not national patent Offices. Using the private blockchain, the present invention will permit a patent Owner or Applicant to select worldwide patent law firms to draft and prosecute a patent application in worldwide countries. The patent Owner or Applicant can select which countries he wants to file patent applications in.
