Publication number: 20250146308Abstract: A static arm platform for mounting onto a static arm includes a rigid saddle adapted for releasable mounting down onto the static arm, at a desired location along the static arm dictated by a pre-chosen static arm cross section profile formed as lower cut-outs in a pair of gusset plates mounted at each end of the saddle between a pair of rigid flanks extending down the sides of the saddle. The lower cut-outs snuggly fit onto and over the static arm at the desired locations on the static arm to resist a rotation of the saddle relative to the static arm when a lineman is standing on one of a pair of foot decks mounted at the lower ends of the rigid flanks, wherein the rigid flanks define a static arm receiving cavity to envelope the static arm when the static arm platform is mounted on the static arm.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2024Publication date: May 8, 2025Inventors: Benjamin James HARVEY, Tyler Lee ROSE, Brian Dale BROGAN, Daniel Neil O'CONNELL

Patent number: 12292670Abstract: A camera is configured for use with a removable camera lens cover, which can be secured to or removed from the camera by a user without the use of a tool set. The mechanism which allows the lens cover to be secured to and removed from the camera includes a set of wires embedded into the lens cover and a set of wedges protruding from the lens wall of the camera. To secure the lens cover to the camera, the lens cover is placed onto the front of the camera and rotated until the wires align with corresponding wedges, securing the wires underneath the tapered surface of the wedges. To remove the lens cover from the camera, a force is applied outward and normal to the lens cover, causing the wires to flex outward and enabling the rotation and removal of the lens cover from the camera.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2023Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: GoPro, Inc.Inventors: Way Chet Lim, Andrew Liu, Margaret Birmingham Mittan, Daniel Lee Sobel

Publication number: 20250128499Abstract: An article of apparel includes a composite material. The composite material includes a pliable first layer and a resilient second layer, where the first and second layers are secured to each other via a patterned strand network. In forming the composite material, the second layer is stretched and maintained under tension while the first layer is secured to the second layer via the patterned strand network. The tension on the second layer is then released, resulting in contraction of the second layer in relation to the first layer and an outward buckling or protrusion of the first layer in relation to the second layer to form protruding cells along the composite material that are bounded by portions of the patterned strand network. The patterned strand network can be formed using embroidery with one or more auxetic patterns in the stitching.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2024Publication date: April 24, 2025Inventors: Alan Toronjo, Daniel Lee, Roger Fan, Thomas White

Publication number: 20250116016Abstract: A buoyant hydrodynamic pump is disclosed that can float on a surface of a body of water over which waves tend to pass. Embodiments incorporate an open-bottomed tube with a constriction. The tube partially encloses a substantial volume of water with which the tube's constriction interacts, creating and/or amplifying fluid-flow oscillations therein in response to wave action. Wave-driven oscillations result in periodic upward ejections of portions of the water inside the tube that can be collected in a reservoir that is at least partially positioned above the mean water level of the body of water, or pressurized by compressed air or gas, or both. Water within such a reservoir may return to the body of water via a turbine, thereby generating electrical power (making the device a wave engine), or the device's pumping action can be used for other purposes such as water circulation, propulsion, dissolved minerals extraction, or cloud seeding.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 13, 2024Publication date: April 10, 2025Applicant: LONE GULL HOLDINGS, LTD.Inventors: Garth Alexander Sheldon-Coulson, Brian Lee Moffat, Daniel William Place, Ivar Lee Thorson
