  • Patent number: 10599714
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for sharing a user interface between users. The system transmits live video simultaneously to a plurality of users. Then, the system determines a subset of the plurality of users, such that the subset includes two users that have a predetermined relationship. Then, during playback of the video, the system detects an object in a frame of the video corresponding to preferences of the first user. In response, the system determines whether the second user is researching information related to the object during playback of the video. If the second user is researching such information, the system streams a mirror image of a user interface with which the second user is performing the researching to the first user.

  • Publication number: 20200089024
Abstract: A deformable membrane assembly comprises an at least partially flexible fluid-filled envelope, one wall of which is formed by an elastic membrane that is held around its edge by a resiliently bendable supporting ring, a fixed support for the envelope and selectively operable means for causing relative movement between the supporting ring and the support for adjusting the pressure of the fluid in the envelope, thereby to cause the membrane to deform. The bending stiffness of the ring varies round the ring such that upon deformation of the membrane the ring bends variably to control the shape of the membrane to a predefined form. The moving means comprise a plurality of ring-engaging members that are arranged to apply a force to the ring at spaced control points.

  • Publication number: 20200081933
Abstract: A network system for managing a network-based service (e.g., an on-demand transport service) is configured to pre-compute, based on historical data, a plurality of service metrics that are maintained in a searchable database. In response to user interaction with a user application to view available service options, the user application can cause session data indicating start and service locations to be transmitted to the network system. In response, the network system can translate the start and service locations to a first and second search keys, respectively. The search keys can be used to query the database for the relevant service metric for the session. The network system can transmit the relevant service metric to the user device to enable the user device to display information relating to the session (e.g., a price for requesting the network-based service) that is based at least in part on the relevant service metric.

  • Publication number: 20200084500
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for automatically indicating, during display of video of an event, actions in event that could satisfy side-game scoring scenarios. This may be accomplished by a media application that generates a live video of an event and retrieves data relating to a current status of a side-game in which a user is participating. The media application determines that a next play of the event could affect an outcome of the side-game and, in response, determines a particular action within the event that could affect the outcome of the side-game. The media application generates for display, within the video, an overlay on top of a playing space of the event, the overlay indicating where the particular action would need to occur to affect the outcome of the side-game.

  • Patent number: 10587791
Abstract: An approach to securing restricted materials from recording with a video recording device. The recording device synchronizes with a pulsed pattern image capture interference signal from a restricted materials protection system (RMPS) at an event venue. The recording device receives a broadcast signal from the RMPS to enable image capture for a non-restricted portion of the event venue. The recording device determines whether a recorded image contains a restricted portion of the event venue and responsive to determining that the recorded image contains the restricted portion of the event venue, disabling the recording of the restricted portion of the event venue.
