  • Publication number: 20260236684
Abstract: In various examples, a multimodal question answering tool generates multimodal answers to queries. For example, a machine learning model generates a text answer to a query, the text answer snippets are compared to text snippets from a source document to determine attribution. Based on the attribution, multimodal data is obtained from the document and used to generate a prompt that, as a result of being provided to the machine learning model, causes the machine learning model to generate a multimodal answer.

  • Patent number: 12617183
Abstract: An article of apparel includes a composite material. The composite material includes a pliable first layer and a resilient second layer, where the first and second layers are secured to each other via a patterned strand network. In forming the composite material, the second layer is stretched and maintained under tension while the first layer is secured to the second layer via the patterned strand network. The tension on the second layer is then released, resulting in contraction of the second layer in relation to the first layer and an outward buckling or protrusion of the first layer in relation to the second layer to form protruding cells along the composite material that are bounded by portions of the patterned strand network. The patterned strand network can be formed using embroidery with one or more auxetic patterns in the stitching.

  • Patent number: 12556225
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to detect deep fading caused by magnitude drop and rapid phase change on channels within a frequency band of a narrowband wireless radio operating in a BMS-like environment with strong multipath. The techniques may identify an interference channel, a deep fading channel, or a weak signal channel. A channel assessment algorithm may receive packets on one of multiple channels to determine a received signal strength for each packet associated with the channel. The algorithm may determine a PER associated with the channel based on a number of packets received in error and a difference between the received signal strength of each packet and a reference signal strength associated with other channels of the frequency band. The PER may be compared with a PER threshold. The channel may be excluded from use by the wireless radio if the PER for the channel is greater than the PER threshold.

  • Publication number: 20260017255
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods that do not require loading data into memory to perform daily activities of an application. The data from an external source can be accessed externally and utilized (for example, in a workbook or via a dashboard, etc.) the same way as in-memory data. This is useful when an external data set is too large to fit in the memory. In this manner, all the data that is needed can be stored in an external table that may be accessed as needed.

  • Publication number: 20260019979
Abstract: A method can include, by operation of controller circuits, determining a higher interference resistance (HIR) location coordinate (PIN) for a route between the wireless device and a target location. A wake message can be transmitted according to a first wireless protocol. In response to receiving an awake message according to a second wireless protocol, a location and quality value for the awake message can be stored. In response to being within a predetermined proximity of the HIR activation PIN without having received the awake message, a HIR wake message can be transmitted. In response to acquiring stored location and quality values, an HIR activation PIN can be selectively changed. A first wireless protocol can consume less power or be less resistant to interference than a second wireless protocol. Corresponding devices and systems are also disclosed.
