  • Publication number: 20230275908
Abstract: In network security systems, graph-based techniques may be employed to generate “thumbprints” of security incidents, which may thereafter be used, e.g., for threat actor attribution or the identification of similar incidents. In various embodiments, each security incident is represented by a graph in which security events correspond to nodes, and which encodes associated metadata in additional nodes and/or node/edge attributes. Graph representation learning may be used to compute node and/or edge embeddings, which can then be aggregated into the thumbprint of the incident.

  • Publication number: 20230275907
Abstract: In network security systems, graph-based techniques can be used to identify, for any given security incident including a collection of security events, other incidents that are similar. In example embodiments, similarity is determined based on graph representations of the incidents in which security events are represented as nodes, using graph matching techniques or incident thumbprints computed from node embeddings. The identified similar incidents can provide context to inform threat assessment and the selection of appropriate mitigating actions.

  • Patent number: 11727732
Abstract: A system and method preserves raw vibration data for a physical event involving a transport vehicle such as a helicopter, plane, boat, car, or truck. The event may involve unexpected mechanical stresses on the vehicle. The system and method preserves raw vibration data for parts of the transport vehicle, such as from multiple points along the drive train. The preserved raw vibration data includes data from time prior to the physical event. In an embodiment, the system and method continuously detects vibration data, and stores the most recent vibration data in a circular memory buffer. The buffer is continually updated with the most current vibration data. When an event is automatically detected or manually triggered, the most recently saved vibration data is transferred from the buffer to permanent storage, along with vibration data obtained subsequent to the event. This allows for a more thorough post-event analysis.

  • Patent number: 11728111
Abstract: A switch that includes a droplet capable of spreading between two conductors to allow them to be coupled when a voltage is applied. The droplet can be enclosed by a cap that is bonded to a wafer that the droplet is placed upon, and include metallic properties. The cap can create a cavity that may be filled by a fluid, gas, or vapor. The cavity can have multiple conductors that extend partially or fully through it. The droplet can couple the conductors when specific voltages, or frequencies are applied to them. • Patent number: 11716500
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for automatically indicating, during display of video of an event, actions in event that could satisfy side-game scoring scenarios. This may be accomplished by a media application that generates a live video of an event and retrieves data relating to a current status of a side-game in which a user is participating. The media application determines that a next play of the event could affect an outcome of the side-game and, in response, determines a particular action within the event that could affect the outcome of the side-game. The media application generates for display, within the video, an overlay on top of a playing space of the event, the overlay indicating where the particular action would need to occur to affect the outcome of the side-game.

  • Patent number: 11701862
Abstract: An article of apparel includes a composite material. The composite material includes a pliable first layer and a resilient second layer, where the first and second layers are secured to each other via a patterned strand network. In forming the composite material, the second layer is stretched and maintained under tension while the first layer is secured to the second layer via the patterned strand network. The tension on the second layer is then released, resulting in contraction of the second layer in relation to the first layer and an outward buckling or protrusion of the first layer in relation to the second layer to form protruding cells along the composite material that are bounded by portions of the patterned strand network. The patterned strand network can be formed using embroidery with one or more auxetic patterns in the stitching.
