  • Patent number: 7481133
Abstract: An auxiliary operating device for manually operating a normally motor-operated closure between open and closed positions, the device comprising a shaft, a driving member mounted to the shaft and displaceable between an idle position and an operational position wherein the driving member is operatively coupled to the closure. The device further comprises a manual actuator for first displacing the driving member from its idle position to its operational position and then driving the driving member in order to displace the closure. The actuator can be advantageously mounted at either end portions of the shaft irrespectively of the position of the driving member on the shaft.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6534941
Abstract: A closure operating device comprises a control unit for controlling a power actuator operatively connected to a closure to selectively open and close the same. The control unit and the power actuator are mounted to a casing adapted to be mounted on a wall. The casing defines an interior space which is normally closed by a lid which defines itself a compartment for receiving parts of the control unit. A limit switch mechanism is mounted in the compartment for automatically interrupting power transmission to the power actuator when the closure reaches a fully open position or a fully closed position thereof. The limit switch mechanism includes a pair of switch actuators threadably engaged on a shaft. The switch actuators are normally locked against rotation by an anti-rotation member. The anti-rotation member is adapted to be independently disengaged from the switch actuators to prevent accidental displacement of one of the switch actuators while the other one is being manually adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20020198907
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for graphically generating logic for a cause and effects matrix. The present invention includes creating a matrix for defining the elements of the system that require monitoring, the responses to changes in the monitored elements and the relationship between the elements and the responses and automatically creating logic to implement the matrix. The system includes a general purpose digital computer that incorporates a matrix programming tool to input data defining the matrix and generate a matrix database. The tool also transfers the matrix database to a programmable logic controller. The programmable logic controller includes a matrix functional unit. The matrix functional unit includes several predefined, configurable functional units for establishing the logic pathways to implement the matrix. The predefined, configurable functional units include a cause functional unit, an effects functional unit and an intersection functional unit.

  • Patent number: 6381903
Abstract: An auxiliary closure operating device for manually operating an intermediate shaft normally driven by a motor in order to displace a closure between open and closed positions thereof. The device comprises a manual actuator and a driving member adapted to be freely mounted on the intermediate shaft so as to form a compact auxiliary device. The driving member is axially displaceable along the intermediate shaft between a first position in which the driving member and the intermediate shaft are independently rotatable relative to one another and a second position in which the driving member is engaged with the intermediate shaft and the manual actuator to transmit a torque from the manual actuator to the intermediate shaft.
