  • Patent number: 6047474
Abstract: A receiving cavity having a simple geometrical shape is machined in a metallic block having a simple geometrical shape made of a first metallic material. A member made of the second material is made and fixed into the cavity to produce a composite bimetallic block, and the turbine blade is machined from the composite block, the body of the blade being machined from the metallic block made of the first material and the insert being machined from the member of simple shape made of the second material. The member made of the second material can be prefabricated and welded into the cavity of made by depositing and solidifying a molten metal in the cavity. The invention applies in particular to manufacturing a blade of a low-pressure stage of a steam turbine.

  • Patent number: 4748810
Abstract: A hydromechanical torque transmission device comprises three coaxial rotatable bodies. These are a driving body, an intermediary body and a driven body. The driving and driven bodies are adapted to be coupled to respective coaxial shafts that are to be coupled together in rotation. A speed correlator system is adapted to maintain the speeds of the driving and driven bodies relative to the intermediary body in a predetermined ratio. The intermediary body comprises a hydraulic circuit. The driving and intermediary bodies define a first pump adapted to cause a flow of fluid in this hydraulic circuit. The intermediary and driven bodies define a second pump also adapted to cause a flow of fluid in the hydraulic circuit. One at least of the first and second pumps has a variable volumetric capacity. The device also comprises means for controlling variations in this variable volumetric capacity.

  • Patent number: 4561831
Abstract: A rotary hydraulic device of the displacement pump type having coaxial rotor and stator and vanes axially slidable in the rotor, the stator comprising at least one bottom surface formed with a variable number of deformations having rectilinear zones suitable for the operation on the recesses by the vanes. The recesses are made in movable elements of the stator such that the depth of the recesses can be made variable thus providing a device of variable capacity. The device is applicable to brakes and dampeners, as well as to engines and pumps.

  • Patent number: 4503928
Abstract: A hydraulic motor comprises vanes slidable axially in lodgings of a rotor against a continuous stator bottom surface. The motor works with a hydrostatic transmission of power applied to rolling stock. The bottom surface has recesses formed therein on movable elements of stator wherein a constant pilot pressure is fed to said movable elements and the motor is a self regulated variable capacity motor since the capacity thereof results from the depth of the recesses due to the opposition of two forces, one from the pilot pressure and the other from a pressure coming from the resisting torque.

  • Patent number: 4492541
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary electrohydraulic device of the volumetrical pump type having stator and rotor as well as vanes axially slidable in said rotor. According to the invention, the intermediary space between the rotor and the stator has an axial longitudinal circulary variable interval partly defined by a continuous stator bottom surface of a constant width, said slidable vanes coming to bear constantly and totally on said continuous bottom surface, which is single for a considered set of said vanes. The device according to the invention is mainly applicable as a brake or slackening means but can also work as a motor and a pump.

  • Patent number: 4469474
Abstract: Hydrostatic motor with axially slidable vanes. The invention relates to a hydrostatic motor having vanes sliding axially in rotor lodgings against a continuous stator bottom surface with recesses therein. The motor comprises an intercommunication circuit between the vanes behind the latter, said circuit permitting integral transmission of pressures between vanes depending on their variable position against said recessed stator bottom surface, the vanes retracted in their lodging acting by increase of pressure in said intercommunication circuit upon the vanes projecting out of their lodging.

  • Patent number: 4425088
Abstract: This invention relates to rotary hydraulic devices of the volumetric or displacement pump type, having a stator and a rotor and vanes axially sliding in the rotor, the stator comprising at least one bottom surface presenting a variable number of recesses therein with ramps and rectilinear zones suited to the operation, said vanes following said bottom surface. In accordance with the invention, the vanes are equipped with an integral or inset base, with end lobes of cylindric shape having a radius of curvature corresponding to that of the milling cutter used for machining the stator. Access to the recesses occurs by means of two ramps corresponding to the lobes of cylindric shape of the vane bases.
