  • Patent number: 11954143
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for obtaining and managing remote sensing data (e.g. Earth observation data). A remote sensing platform obtains imagery and other remote sensing data of the Earth and other planetary objects. The remote sensing platform includes the International Space Station, or manned and unmanned spacecraft or aircraft. A sensor captures observation data and transmits the data to ground stations on the Earth. A ground segment receives and stores the data. Users use an order management system to place orders for the observation data, which specify processing parameters for the remote sensing data. The remote sensing data is retrieved from storage is processed according to the parameters to generate a data product. This system provides tools for searching and analyzing the data, and for interacting with the system through an API. The system combines data that is produced by the remote sensing platform and by third parties.

  • Patent number: 10324314
Abstract: An optical device includes a nanostructured transparent dielectric film, which is a Huygens metasurface. The Huygens metasurface imparts a phase change to light propagating through or reflecting from the surface. The phase change can be achieved by means of a resonant interaction between light and the Huygens resonators, resulting in a controllable phase change of 0 to 2? with approximately 100% light transmission characterized by a below 0.1 dielectric loss tangent of delta and with the height of the resonators less than the wavelength of light. In one embodiment, the metasurface includes titanium dioxide, but many materials or stacks of different materials may be used. The optical device is functional throughout the visible spectrum between 380 and 700 nm. The nanostructured transparent dielectric film includes a plurality of Huygens resonators.

  • Publication number: 20190154227
Abstract: A lighting system having a light source with a light-emitting diode and a scanning device receiving light radiation generated by the light source is provided. The scanning device generally includes a rotatably mobile reflection system and a unit for moving the reflection system. The light source configured such that a generally substantially rectangular light beam oriented along a vertical direction is emitted. The scanning device may be configured to scan the generally substantially rectangular light beam along a horizontal direction substantially orthogonal to the first direction carried out at a speed making it possible to benefit from a persistence of vision, and an activation/deactivation control of the light source may be synchronised with the scanning of the scanning device.

  • Patent number: 10230925
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing and disseminating video data. A video disseminating portal is provided to show orders for video data, including status information of each order. A control in the portal is provided to launch a video display interface to preview or play an ordered video data. A video cropping tool in the video display interface allows a user to define one more areas within the ordered video data. The cropped video is generated along a pan path. In some embodiments, the cropped video is generated with variable zoom and orientation. The one or more defined areas are used to generate corresponding one or more cropped videos, which are derived from the ordered video data. The location and area of a cropped video is displayed in context of the ordered video and can be previewed using the video display interface. A cropped video is also displayed as an entry in the portal in relation to the entry for the ordered video data.
